I have to say, I probably wouldn't take it.
When it comes down to it I'm a bleeding-heart liberal inside, and no matter how much I enjoyed spending/investing an extra ten million I would still be haunted by the decision unless I kept myself absolutely busy 24/7 and took sleeping pills. Plus, I do love my wife, you know...

Also, as mentioned before, passive profit. Buy US$10m worth of gold/silver/chinese stock, sell it for Ç20m in a few years.
*I was offered to sell mine for that exact amount to a man I've never met before on a tourist trip to Egypt, for example.

If she leaves me, I have learned a 5 mil dollar lesson, and I am still 5 mil dollars richer than I was before (and with my spending habits, that would mean I could probably live off the interest as long as banking systems existed, if I could live that long).

I have been with my dear sig. other for 7 years now. We are not married, but we are together. We are both ********s in our own ways, and sometimes we can sell tickets to the epic fights we have... but I would not let them go for 10 million Dollars, or any money in the world.
Furthermore, should I win lotto tomorrow, and have said 10 million dollars, unlike so many people who when they become wealthy exchange their spouses and whatnot for "better looking" models, I would not do that. I would cater to my dear love's every wish and whim... and it would make us both have easier life, and be less of an ********... in general.
We have spent so many years together, we know each other, and frankly the fact that my various foibles and shortcoming being put up with while I am poor, will certainly not change while I am rich. As such, I much rather have a partner and a lover by my side who has put up with me for so many years for no other reason than loving and caring for me, than a blond bimbo who would excuse my burping because I have a fleet of Mercedes Benz in the garage.

I was just informed my sig.other about this thread, cause I was typing furiously. After reading what I said above, I was informed that I am an "idiot" and that If my dear partner had a choice between 10 million dollars and me, I would "be gone in seconds."
