Edited by: Ptiote on 25/05/2008 13:57:46 Hi
This is a copy from a petition i sent:
Quote:
Each producers can "steal" materials in this corp hangar and it's works ONLY for materials.... not for bpo.
My bpos (or bpcs) are in an only take (not view) hangar, but i can use them.
I think that we need a 'usable" right to use materials in a hangar without taking what there are inside.
And this is the answer :
Quote:
Yes, it is technically possible for a producer to be able to steal the materials, however if they cannot take them, then the job does not run since it requires taking time materials from the hangar. If you have any thoughts you'd like to put forth on this though, you may want to check the Features and Ideas Discussion part of the www.eve-online.com forums. The developers frequently read that forum section for new ideas.
Best regards, GM Nythanos The EVE Online Customer Support Team
I mean that it could be useful for a corporation that the team of producers could only use materials from a hangar from the production interface. A right "can use but cannot take" for example.
We could refine minerals automatically in this hangar without someone could steal in it.
I'm open for any convo or evemail.
Thank you very much and sorry for my awful english

I think CCP should make all access rights similar to SQL databases, many will pick it up easily and it can be explained quite esily too. In addition, this should be one of the options that NEED to get into the game... solves so many problems and hassles.
I find it hard to believe that we live many centuries in the future, have starships, warptechnology, and other really advanced systems, but can not think of a decent authing system....
Current system it's so limited it's not funny.

Sounds like a good idea to me.
The diffence between "use" and "take" is very slim, but exists nonetheless, and this nuance is of utmost importance.
I can only agree with Ptiote et look forward to such an addition to our favorite game

Nice idea, it would be a great addition to keep corp hangar more secure.

We actually have the minerals locked in containers, so we can track at least track the usage. But your idea would make it way more easier and also provide safety. You can view logs and anger if one stole stuff, but you cannot prevent it actually.
PS: A log for corp deliveries would also be very very much anticipated!

It's obviously something that would logically being ALREADY done!
Without this, how an industrial corp can get it's producer members to participate in corp production?
