A simple tool that does absolutely NO processing of the XML.
GrabRaw.rar (59.8kb)
GrabRaw.vbproj.rar (66.4kb)
Requires .NET Framework 2.0
Project file requires Visual Studio 2008
Should access every API service listed on Eve-Dev.
After you run the program:
- API UserID and Key can be found by clicking on "What is my Api Key?"
- Character ID can be found by fetching the "Character List" data
This is only a tool I've developed to assist in making other applications.

Nice debugging tool for api beginners. Good work. The simple tools are the best ones. 
Are there any xml schema definitions for api content out there on the web? I've used the api data without xsd all the time - but it would be nice to have them on the long term (e.g. Intellisense works best with xsd present).

I entered my information and clicked the fetch button and nothing happened, the status bar just shows the URL of the service I picked, there are no error messages and no XML's anywhere in sight, what am I doing wrong?

Which service did you select?
Please watch the titlebar for download status.
I don't think GrabRaw will work behind a web proxy, either.
Once you click the Fetch button, the file should download to a temp file, then prompt you to save it somewhere using a standard "Save File" dialog.
As the program downloads the file before showing the 'save' dialog, it can take a few seconds between you clicking Fetch, and the dialog showing, especially if you pick one of the bigger servies (Map: Sovereignty for example)

When saving starbase details it mis-spells the file as "detials". Also it would be good if starbase detail xml's would have the starbase item id in their name, so they don't want to overwrite each other.

Another one: "starbase list" files are called "corp-startbaselist-blah".
