And why the offline faction neut?
EDIT: And what kind of small-scale pvp?

Honestly? Vindicator if you're going to do dual rep, its made for it.
Navy mega is better off plated.

Navy mega?
Plates. And a gang mate to remote rep you. Low slots along these lines:
1x Plate 1x Faction EAN 3x Faction Hardener (because of cpu) 1x Internal Forcefield Array 2x MFS --

Well, you can online it for later use should you need it of course, at the cost of a gun or something equivilant. Rather have some input on the order of modules and rigs.

Couldnt agree more.
1350+ DPS is nothing to laugh at you see. Especially when it comes with about 50k armor.

I love anything that looks like a mega, but one thing is mandatory for me on any fit, and i know its hard to get it on there, but if you fly small scale, or mabey alone, you NEED a heavy neut active.
Unless you want nano ships laughing at you all day.
Im not at home atm, so cant go EFT. But really the best two things about a bs are the HP and a Heavy neut.
Leave some room for your balls, them being so big, you flying that. Tbh, i dont ever wanne spent that much isk on something that can be locked down by one ship. Ill stick to my normal 1200 dps mega. With only i think 25k armor. (cost 40 mil to replace)

If I were to get a vindicator, how would I fit it then? The damage potential compared to the navythron is a bit lower with another mag stab on the navy.

The Navy Mega was built to buffer tank. hitting 70k armour with a set of HG Slaves and T1 Trimarks is no real challenge, with some skills/nice FC/T2 rigs(if you really wanna spend that on a PVP ship) it can go even higher.
This fitting also frees up enough power grid to use T2 neutrons(you might need to swtich to a medium cap booster to shove something in the 8th highslot, but it works just fine). Pushing your DPS even higher. Leave the Void L at home and use Caldari Navy Antimatter. Almost the same DPS with none of the penalties.
Assuming you haven't already; My advice would be to fly a normal mega for a while first and get a feel for it, always going to teach you a lot more than EFT ever will. If you really want to spend billions on a PVP boat get the implants first as they're easier to save with a little common sense and spamming of the warp button when the proverbial hits the fan, as it often will. |

2x Shadow Serp Magstabs True Sansha EANM Internal Force Field Array True Sansha Explosive, Kinetic, and Thermal Hardeners 1600 Rolled Tungsten
3x Trimarks (swapping in t2 soon)
5x Ogre IIs
Well over 1k dps easy. 67/73/80/80 Resists 37k Armor before gang bonuses
Best flown with a buddy or two in remote armor rep battleships. Nasty, nasty ship.

I have this feeling the number in the calculator window is his dps. And that is a nice dps number, assuming he also got some buffer left.

Damage per second my good man...
Edit: to The OP, I'd agree with flying the setup you are most comfortable with on a normal Megathron, and using that extra low for another MFS. --------------

would 2 amarr navy eanm, iffa, and exp hardener not be a better use of 4 slots for resistance mods? Just saying because all these kin/therm/exp/dc fits will have a very nice em hole.
