I am Caldari. I am Gallente. Born of Caldari Prime, of Caldari parents, but raised amongst Gallente. I am both and neither.
I've walked the line between the two sides, and thankfully came out intact. And when I reached proper age I sought my future out in the stars, where I found that deeper into the abyss you go, the less bloodlines become of any consequence. Out on the frontier, there is no Caldari or Gallente, Amarr or Minmatar. Only brother and enemy.
In fact I have lived as a capsuleer so long I started to forget about home. When the riots came at Caldari Constructions, I shrugged. When Tibus Heth made his grab for power and baselessly implicated the Federation with Caldari's problems, I paused. When Ishukone Headquarters was brutally destroyed, I started paying attention.
The frequency and severity of recent events have me convinced. Tibus Heth has a much larger hand in this than he's admitted. He's constructed this entire situation to give himself the opportunity to seize power. But he is not alone. This is bigger than Heth. There are forces within Gallente working in concert with Heth. A force that is within the State and the Federation, but in reality belong to neither. Whatever this faction is, they want war between us.
And it looks like they are going to get what they want.
I refuse to fly a Caldari flag while Heth is in power. I will not champion the Gallente while a similar cancer controls events behind the scenes. We must seek out and remove these people, from both within the Caldari and Gallente power spheres, and stop this affront to our citizens. We must stop at nothing to seek out the Truth. Our ears and eyes must be open. We must look at the meaning between words. We must seek out the unseen hand that plays us as pawns against each other. We must stop thinking of ourselves as Caldari against Gallente.
But as brother against enemy.
I need other seekers of Truth to help. We need to create a community, an information network, to seek out the True intentions behind events. This is not a matter of coincidences driven by mere racial tensions. Something far more sinister is at work, and we must find out what it is, and make it known to all.
I will be joining the protests at Kaalakoita Headquarters in Nonni to show my support. However, if events continue to unfold and we are down an irreversible road to war, we will soon be required to take a more active role in correcting what has been corrupted. I hope I can gain your support in the coming days, and together hope to find answers.
We are vigilant, we are unwavering, and we will have the Truth.

So you theorize that a rogue military faction within the Federation may have been cooperating with Heth to start a war. In less troubled times, I would have raised an eyebrow to such a story, but sadly this seems as likely as any possibility, indeed more likely than most.
The potential benefits for such a clandestine group would be staggering. Massive corporate profiteering, climbing the governmental ladder, or they may even be planning to cripple the militaries of both empires to the point that they can start an internal rebellion on both sides, and unite both empires under a single dictatorial flag.
Whatever the real story behind this chain of events may be, humanity deserves to hear it before the scourge of war descends on us in earnest. Sign me up.

I say we slaughter Heth, and from there, things will sort themselves, or at least make themselves obvious or no longer significant.

The call of the Imperative comes to many of us in many different ways. I wish you luck in your endeavors, Captain. |

That might be prudent, if Heth was as far as the chain goes. But it is my belief that this is far from the case. It would be no more than cutting one leaf from a poisonous weed. To kill the weed, we need to reach down to the root.

Just and where is this war you are talking about?
Tensions between the State and the Federation has been on an increase, yes. The incident at Malkalen was a monstrosity, yes. But no where do I hear the call to arms.
Tibus Heth has an agenda alright, but so far it has nothing to do with the Federation directly. You might have missed it, being a capsuleer and all, but the general health of the State has been poorly recently. Heth is on a mission to change that by highlighting the faults within the mega corporations and change them. Though these faults are undoubtedly cause by bad influence of the decadent Gallente way of living, I have yet to Heth proclaim a frontal attack on the Federation.
Why? The answer is obvious. The people at fault are the seniors and heads of the mega corporations and as such it is them who have to see the error of their ways and change them, so they once again put the benefit of the State over the benefit of themselves. This is exactly was is happening and I applaud the mega corp CEO's for their wise decision.
Heth is no king of Caldari, but he has ambitions and plans that will lead to progress for the Caldari people. The mega corporation CEO's understand this are are showing him support.
Support should not be confused with control over corporate assets. The mega corporations will still be as strong individually as ever. I do not recall the same fuss about mega corporative teamwork when the Caldari Navy was formed, but maybe that is just me. ************* The better part of the team. |

With all due respect, you may not have heard the brass trumpets of war sounding from the chairs of power, but war starts with whispers from the angry voices of the people, and I'm afraid that dialouge is already underway. One does not need the gift of foresight to see the red path laid beneath the feet of both our people.
Darian Hazedango, as one who has worked for peace throughout these dark times, I feel we are of alike minds on the topic of a deeper conspiracy. I too have a grim suspicion growing in the back of my mind that an unknown power plots against both our people, and perhaps even reaching further to the other empires as well. Myself and the small network of FIO and independant agents I have access to are with you. Agent Provocateur of the FIO

There are more than just singular events at hand. Heth is part of a bigger picture. It simply cannot be mere coincidence that these events have occurred at the precise timing and order to place Heth into high power, and simultaneously place the State within open war with Gallente once again. And I don't only speak of the events on our side of the border, I also talk of the tragedies that are take place in concert within Federation space. They are connected. They have to be. Someone wants this to happen, and I doubt they have the best interests of either the State or the Federation in mind.
History is my guide. More than once has a leader risen up in the middle of tough economic times, somehow makes things better again overnight, uses that to rise to power, and then unites/distracts the people by driving them against an enemy they are all to eager to attack. This has always proven to be disasterous. And that leader does not get to the top on his own. In this case, Heth may be no more than a puppet for those that lurk behind the scenes
As for the Gallente's 'way of living', as one that has been on both sides, I can tell you that both Caldari and Gallente life has its advantages and faults. What you call decadent, they would call freedom of thought. In the end it's likely a bit of both, but you cannot call it something as simple as being 'wrong'. If they were so misguided as many claim, they never would have had the power to put up a resistance against us, much less claim victory over us in the first war! You may point fault and criticize all you want, but what is undeniable is that they've made it work for themselves, and they are to be reckoned with. Do not insult the Caldari people by portraying that we are so short sighted!
As citizens we have the right to know and the obligation to discover exactly what were the exact conditions that has led up to today. Truth is not simply something that is owed to us, it is something we must seek out.
