I need help with two setups atm, I have pretty good gunnery skills, training large energy 4 and Amarr BS 4. I need help with a solo build and a build for dps because if I'm not solo I run missions with a buddy who has a tanking rokh but low dps.

For a damage set up with your friend try:
8x Mega Modulated Energy Beams with amarr navy multi and X-ray, you might even want UV for good measure. 4X Cap Recharger 2s T2 LAR, EANM, 2 mission specific hardeners, 3x heat sink 2s 3x CCCs for rigs
For solo make sure you have drones to take care of the small stuff. While you are learning level 4s you might want to go with more tank in that case try this
8x Dual Modulated Heavy Energy Beam with amarr navy multi, X-ray, UV, and you might want standard for longer range. The idea here is to drop down in laser size so you can mount a stronger tank. 4x Cap Recharger 2s 2 T2 LARs, EANM, 2 mission specific hardeners, 1 heat sink T2, 1 CPR T2 3x CCCs for rigs
As your skills go up you might want to lighten the tank for more damage solo. Also as skills go up you can switch to T2 large pulse with scorch for great damage.

My basic L4 Abaddon setup for missions:
High: 2 x Dual Heavy Modulated Beams, 6 x Modulated Megabeams Med: 4 x CR II Low: 1 x LAR II, 1 x EAN II, 2 x rat-specific hardeners, 2 x Heat Sink II, 1 x CPR II Rigs: 3 x Capacitor Control Circuit Drones: 5 x Infiltrator II, 5 x Acolyte II
Fully cap stable, 80%+ resists to 3 damage types, 600dps+ at 40km, and can hit out to 90km. Im using dual heavies as I dont have AWU II yet for 8 Megabeams!
I still need warp-outs on some missions if I get the pulling badly wrong. However, in these situations rather than risk the Abaddon I usually just swap to my dual rep Apoc which can tank much, much more damage (it just takes longer to kill anything!).

Edited by: Sunja Lu''Aras on 02/06/2008 13:53:35 I used beams on my Abaddon for some time, but I find pulses more fun, more DPS and usually sufficient. For those missions where the rats don't want to get close, just switch to beams or keep a Beamapoc at hand
[Abaddon, PvE - Mega Pulses] 1x Large Armor Repairer II 4x specific Hardener II 2x Heat Sink II
100MN Afterburner II 3x Cap Recharger II
8x Mega Modulated Pulse Energy Beam I, Amarr Navy Xray L
3x Capacitor Control Circuit I
Hammerhead II x5 -----------------------------

Edited by: Izanaki Kurita on 02/06/2008 14:29:00 Im running following setup, never have any problems with any l4s Fits with AWU4 btw
8x Mega Modulated beams 1x TCII, 3x Cap Recharger IIs 1x LAR II,3x Racial hardener II, 1x CPRII 2x HSII
Swap one racial hardener for one more HS if you feel like it, works well against Sansha.
The fit isnt cap stable, but runs for long enough to burn through anything if you watch your aggro a bit. Sometimes I also swap beams for pulses, esp against merc missions, as they like to orbit around 5km anyways ;)

IMHO you will not enjoy flying the 'baddon with LET 3 and BS 3.
