Cynosular jammers are primarily aimed at prohibiting hostile capital deployment in one's home systems. Since the introduction of cynosular jammers covert cyno generators have been introduced, which are designed in a way that they cannot be used to capital or blob deployment.
As blackops need boosting anyways, I suggest to revisit the operation of cynosular jammers and make game mechanic changes to allow the usage of covert cynos in cyno jammed systems.
First alternate to CSM.

Certainly. I actually was under the impression they did get passed cynojammers because of their different module system entirely. ------------------------ "There was this bright flash of light - and now this egg shaped thing is on my screen - did I level up?" |

Although its covered in the Black-ops re-balance general topic on the agenda today - I do think it is useful to have simple and straightforward issues as an option for us too. Supported.

Very defintly. I assumed they would when they were first announced to the extent I didn't bother to even test this. This capability would make them FAR more attractive (Assuming the Covert Jump Bridges function like this as well)

Depending on if and how cynojammers might become re-balanced this might be moot, but anyway worth supporting.

Support this, albeit conditionally. There should be some drawback to using a covert cyno in a cyno jammed system - for example it could show up on the overview like a normal cyno, or its fuel use could be increased, or its activation time increased. Unrestricted use in a restricted system would be backward.

They also desperately need help in the scan resolution department, they may not get sensor recalibration time but they still get the scan res hit from fitting a cloaking device, making it impossible to lock sub-Battleship targets in a reasonable timeframe. __________ Up untill I read that Goonswarm post all my 9-11 anger was directed towards Muslim terrorists. Originally by: CCP Wrangler Noah (CCP) indicated that CCP was aware that battleships with jumpdrives would become the ultimate ship, and to this end Black Ops ships were pre-nerfed.
Good luck though. I defiantly support the change despite what CCP has said. However, I expect no changes.

I note that while there is appears to be alot of support for this idea... do you all want to really go back to the ways of things before jammers and sov, and mega alliances walking all over thing's like before?? well i personaly dont this is a hugely bad idea period as it stands now alliance claiming space have to put efforts into it take away the ability of jammers to permi jam a system, and everything goes belly up. agressive expansionist policys are now held in check and we have all seen a increase of constellation sized alliances in 0.0 which was the intent i believe as its hard to hold vast areas of space and should remain so, anything that shorcuts to a jammer will have a negitive general effect on alliance lvl play in 0.0. In the light of the upcoming speed changes I think its more vital than ever to push CCP to make this change sooner rather than later (since there will need to be some alternatives to going through bubble camps in the post speednerf age). Hence I've added this to the agenda for sunday as a separate issue from the Blackops ships we discussed in the first session and I'd love to be strongly arguing that this gets to tranquility before/at the same time as the finished speed nerf patch.

What Jade said. Black Ops still need the boost, but the cyno jammer limitation should be added nonetheless.
That covert cyno gen is of very little use if not able to bring partially cloaked black ops gangs into the enemies home systems were they can cause havoc and stuff.
