With the current build whats the rate of Implant Drops? I've gotten 1 such mission out of maybe 20 Important missions over the last 2 months. Do some agents give these more frequently? Anyway I find this to be a little disappointing, I'd like be able to get an implant or two a month but I'm not seeing it. -------

Ive worked repeatedly everyday with two level three agents at the same base and have racked up a total of 3 INT basics. Probobly the same rate as the post above mine.

Yep the going rate atm for the corp I work for - (corroborated by others) is an Implant drop approximately every 7 importants...
Only prob is importants are now every 13/15 missions instead of 6/7 as they were...

My personal standing to this agent is 5.03. I have gotten 1 implant. Maybe kill mission agents have reduced implant drop rate?

I've done 126 missions since last implant drop. That was April 22. Of those 126 missions 15 were important. This was all for the same agent and it's mainly been kill missions.
I have Social lvl 4, Negotiations lvl 4 and Connections lvl 3. If I understand Papasmurfs post right I guess I have to train Connections to lvl 4.
/emote prays for a implant soon.

Today I decided to do at least one mission for my State And Region Bank agent while I was online. Thank god I did. It was an Important Mission. It was an Implant Mission. Talk about luck. Buuut, this is my second implant from the same agent in 4 or 5 days. Within the space of 20 missions total, within one rejected, and one important between the implant missions. So I think I used up all my good luck with agents on that
Oh, if you're curious, they were Memory implants

Edited by: Chepe Nolon on 09/05/2004 15:46:43 151 missions for Republic Fleet. No implant. But the agent was -15 base quality though. (now effective +12 or something, 7+ rating towards me, and corp rating 6.5+). I'm switching now as I got all the items I wanted from him.
Btw, note: didn't do any other agents other than R&D while doing this agent.

Last patch had a new method for choosing between what missions an agent dishes out, which also affected important missions. The algorithm would make it more likely f.ex. to get an important kill mission from an agent that is more likely to give normal kill missions.
Alas, the darn implants are only dished out from a courier mission, so kill mission agents will have reduced implant counts until this has been fixed. Zrakor's going to add some non-courier important implant mission to counter this.
No, I don't know when it'll hit TQ, but probably no later than next patch.

Finally, some confirmation on what is up with implant missions on certain agents!
Thanks for clearing that up
And boy am I glad it's a bug and not a nerf!

I think this explains why the price of Perception and Willpower implants has risen sharply recently!
Cheers Papa Smurf for the clarification.

So basically agents that are predominately kill mission based are still giving out the odd courier important mission that comes with getting an implant but at a reduced rate then normal?

Yes this is how I read the post and also matches my experience. Since the patch I've had a single implant mission from my kill agent, took something like 23 important missions to get it. So it is still possible to get an implant from a kill agent, just less likely for the moment.

Yes - I can confirm this.
My Command-Agent from the Fed. Navy rewarded my efforts with a perception implant 2 days ago.

try contacting your 'killer'-agent in an indy, as that would improve your changes of getting a courrier instead of a kill mission.
I got 1 perception implant from a level 3 amarr navy agent yesterday. It sold within 4 hours for 16M
