Can't do it.
It'd be nice tho, having an auto-linkable form field. --- New to the API? GrabRaw XML

Originally by: Dahl Schoss Hi, as the browser does not (and probably should not) support ajax, I am attempting to use server side session information to stop me having to pass all state back and forth.
But this means I need to be able to give the IGB a session_id cookie.
I have tried to, but it does not seem to support cookies.
A couple of googled pages, state that it supports session cookies (ie expiring at end of browser session) but I don't seem to be able to get these working either.
Are cookies possible in the IGB?
Not sure which language you are using, but you could parse all links on a page, and add the session ID as a GET param (eg: "http://this.url/page?session_id=blah") --- New to the API? GrabRaw XML

I didnt see a reply to the post that asked about image map support on pg 23. Is it, or is it not, supported? I haven't seen a blue post in this thread for some time, but I'm certainly hoping for their attention.

I'm having an issue getting the trust dialog to pop up. I'm using the require trust function from the evedev site since it should work. http://wiki.eve-id.net/PHP_IGB
I can verify if my page has trust or not, but I can't seem to make the IGB ask for trust if it is not trusted.
Anyone know how to make it popup and ask for trust?

Can IGB do this?
What should I use, forms?
Yes you can do it with forms. You will have to interpret the links for yourself but that's easily done if you know your regex. It's not pure drag and drop since they have to say 'link by..' for each like when dropping to chat but it works. I find its better to have people link by item instead of type, so for things like blue prints they dont get a generic bpo link but the actual bpc.. if your gonna save this info into a database, be careful how its interpreted. Some characters aren't DB friendly so you'll have to use php trim(), just realize what its doing so you can undo it when displaying a link :) ...

The f </textarea> tag parsing is bugged. Whenever there is such tag in the document, ingame browser is unable to display the page and keeps loading it forever. It became broken since last patch. :( _______________________________________________ If ifs and ands were pots and pans, I would grow mushrooms in my pants. |

Quantum Rise broke ALL forms / form fields within tables, as far i can tell. Thats a pretty severe bug.
Is any Dev actually still looking at the IGB ?

i was shocked to see that forms are broken and felt a bit of hope when reading it's because they are in <table> tags.. unfortunately.. i'm not using any tables... it's a shame, since my corp somewhat relies on the IGB access of the corp webpage, where forms form a vital part. so far the current sisi build has the same problem - i hope they'll patch it soon. please? :D

Now it might just be my coding but when I load a page with the following line the background image it loads is squashed by like 30%.
<STYLE type="text/css">BODY { background-color:#000000;background-image:url(***image-location***);background-repeat:no-repeat;}</STYLE>
This also occurs when I use the html version:
<body background="***image-location***">
Any ideas for how I can make the background not look goofy? I've tested it many ways and with several different people in game. |

Any chance the broken form elements (like textarea) are going to be fixed or is the IGB a lameduck feature? If your not planning on making fixes, please let us know so we can quit and move on to other projects. Thanks.

IGB sends not semantics equivalent headers to Request Header Fields (RFC2616 (Section 5.3)). IGB headers with player identification consists "." (point) symbol, which is not normal for Request Headers, even if it allowed by RFC2822 (Section 2.2). This become in a big trouble for PHP intalled as CGI script on Apache servers (most servers in the world wide web for security reasons)
When PHP istalled as CGI script, all request headers can not be gotten via normal use of getallheaders, apache_request_headers or $_SERVER ($_ENV). Only registered in RFC headers passed to $_SERVER. There is a way to get other headers via hacking ModRewrite (which usualy installed) making .htaccess file:
Quote: # url rewriting RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php [QSA]
# If-Modified-Since (if php is not installed as cgi then comment lines below) RewriteRule .* - [E=HTTP_IF_MODIFIED_SINCE:%{HTTP:If-Modified-Since}] RewriteRule .* - [E=HTTP_IF_NONE_MATCH:%{HTTP:If-None-Match}]
But as i sad IGB headers not semantics equivalent headers, it contains point symbol ".". And the last trick to get Request Headers not working
Please make IGB send minus symbol "-" and not "." for example "Eve.Trusted" becomes "Eve-Trusted" . This wont make a difference for others, they still will get $_SERVER headers as it was before, but it helps to me and many others to get headers via .htaccess on secured Apache servers

Rendering a simple page like "<HTML><BODY>Hello World</BODY></HTML>" takes about 3 seconds on my 3Ghz, dual core PC.
IGB is a great thing for in-game tools, but using it is a misery as every page refresh is incredibly slow...
What would You say if ANY other window in Eve would take 3s to open? I bet it would be classified as a critical (usability) bug and would be fixed in the nearest maintenance release.
Also, rendering of any tables is a pain and I would like to note that tables are still widely used on websites, so supporting it is quite obligatory. |

TIP: Apparently IGB renders websites much faster if You set Present Interval to "Interval Immediate", compared to "Interval Default" which makes all pages awfully slow.
