Maybe later on there can be an extra option to showroute... hoped it would be in already, but it isn't...
A function to set an destination for the user would be great. Not only show the route in the map, but also auto set the destination to it. -------------------------------- Agent Auto Locator for the IGB: New: http://eve.nexus-zone.com

I noticed that links response to the CSS text-decoration:none now...
but.. only when they are not within a table. Can it be fixed that text-decoration:none works also inside a table? -------------------------------- Agent Auto Locator for the IGB: New: http://eve.nexus-zone.com

I've found some more bugs in the IGB as it probably will go live. Some even crash the browser to a point where it needs to be closed and reopened.
So Traveler, please respond to these 2 questions:
* Is this thread still a good place to discuss problems with the IGB? * Will what we report here be fixed asap, or no sooner than the next expansion or major patch? In other words: what can you tell us about the priority of the IGB in respect to the entire EVE client? Some candour would be much appreciated.
Greetings, Grismar.

I hope the IGB gets an high priority (as you see that the igb is a main part of the client in shiva).
Found a major bug in text-input when using forms. Is there since the new 2942 client. When you post the form you will get " ." (space dot) in front of the text wich was put into the text-box.

I will try to fix as many bugs as possible in the next client patch. I can not reproduce that text input problem. But there are some more bugs that nobody has mentioned so far. ;)

I've added 4 more bugs to my list and tested most of the bugs that were still on there, resulting in some chances.
I'm finally getting started on some actual pages now :)

the Starmap feature does not work 100%, choosen markes won't show on it (ingametest #5 has this Problem as well, Exodus 2942).
Also: how can I include Icons for ships? browsed a bit through res/UI/Icon/Mapped/... but couldn't find any ship icons. They're used in the Agent Missions, so they must be around somewhere and I just haven't found them yet Where to look?

I've reported about 5 bugs today through the bugs.eve-online.com website, pls don't forget to look at those too Traveler :-)
In addition to everything that I've said there, I have this *major* problem and I was hoping somebody already found a *good* workaround. Or maybe this just could be patched very very soon, as it's the thing that keeps our new website from coming online :(
problem setting:
tables are very buggy. solution: use 1 big table to enveloppe the whole website (this actually works very good). BUT IGB = HTML3.2; this means that the <form> element can *NOT* be inside a <table> tag. So, multiple forms on 1 page won't work anymore after envelopping the website in a table. solution: use only 1 form ... ok, not nice, but let's pursue this solution.
Quote:
<form><table><tr><td>blah blah blah <table><tr><td><input type="text" value="someval"><input type="submit"></td></tr></table> blah blah blah some more blah</td></tr></table></form>
you would think this would work now but no, the IGB insta crashes on pushing the submit button. So I put the submit button outside the middle table, into the other table. push submit. works ! hey ... where's my value ? indeed, the submit button now works, but it does not submit any values, as these are sitting in the inside table and the browser can't read this.
Solution: forget about envelopping data that you have to submit. *argl* this won't work ofcoz, can't do my current layout *without* the tables, I *need* the tables. BUT I also have to enveloppe the site with a table, cause of another bug.
Basically, I'm in a gridlock here and pretty ******. Again, I have reported this problem through the bugs page including some source code. pls pls pretty pls look at this, cause I want this website online :( --

I've found a good way to do this is to run Eve under the logserver. Then you just have to show info on any characters, corps, items, etc, that you want the ID for, and it will show up in the logserver. |

Has anyone been having problems using checkboxes inside a table? Here's what I was trying to do:
I have a form that's used for updating data. When you load the page, it shows the current options and lets you change them.
Most of the options are presented in a table. Inside each of the cells of the table are checkboxes. Some are checked initially.
The user can check/uncheck the different checkboxes with no problem; however, when the form is submitted, any of the checkboxes with the 'checked' attribute will be submitted as if they were selected. In other words, previously unselected boxes can be selected, but boxes that were checked before cannot be cleared.
This doesn't seem to happen if the checkbox is outside of a table.
I confirmed it's not a problem with my script using Firefox and IE.
If this is something you haven't seen before I can submit a full bug report.

Found another problem, and this is easy to show using your formtest.php.
The select box with multiselect is not working correctly. For some reason the IGB will pass something like selecttest3=['2','3','4'] instead of the correct selecttest3=2&selecttest3=3&selecttest3=4 that normal browsers do.
This is kind of a big annoyance, because PHP handles what normal browsers do automatically, but what the IGB returns needs to be parsed a bit.
Thanks.

Edited by: Lu Tze on 28/11/2004 20:54:56 An excel (or csv) of typeID's and their real names might be useful. Like the solarsystem one that's available.
Also, is there any way to get information on a character, corp or alliance based on their name? I know the info on visitors contains their charID, but is there (or can there be) a way to get a graphic with only the name as input?

Edited by: Darial on 29/11/2004 15:08:36 I am making an ingame website and it checks to see if the viewer is actually ingame using this PHP code...
<? $pos = strpos($HTTP_USER_AGENT,"EVE-minibrowser"); if ($pos===false) { echo("Ingame"); } ?>
And it works for most people, but it doesn't work for me. I checked and even ingame it says my browser is Mozilla/4.0 which is quite weird. Any ideas how I can reset the ingame browser so it knows I am infact ingame ?
What I get is a blank screen, you can test it here... http://ingame.jazz-cafe.co.uk/test.php

The ingame browser tag is hardcoded and can not be changed. I think you use something like a proxy which stores your requests. Just a guess though.
