I'm sure it's been asked here before but I've spent the last two hours looking and can't seem to find a reasonable answer. So, sorry to repeat what's no doubt been beat to death. :(
What skill or skills do I need to place a ranged sell order? That is to say, when I look at buy orders for example, Veldspar. I see someone say five jumps away that is green to me. Means they can sell my velds to them even if I'm not in the same station. I get that. My question is what skills do I need as a trader to make my veldspar I'm wanting to sell appear as green to people in other stations? So that someone five or even ten jumps from me can buy my products without me having to move them to the same station?

Edited by: Maestro Del''Tirith on 07/06/2008 18:46:01 Buy orders are what 'appear green' per se...sell orders can be bought from anywhere, but no matter what they need to go pick it up from wherever you are selling it.
Oh...and posting in a Riethe thread.

Are you saying Noctis Lupus is my alt?
Or are you saying you're posting in a thread that I am also posting in?

The latter - Noctis hasn't asked me for any money, and so therefore cannot be Riethe.

By default you can set a sell order any range you like.
I set ALL my sell orders as regional so ANYBODY in the region can buy them.
To be honest it's a non question
Similarly by default you can set your buy orders to any range you like so that if you set them to regional ANYBODY in the region can fill your order.
The confusion about all this is because of that wretched procurer skill and it's evil mate visibility.......neither of which I have.
But at the end of the day you can't beat reading skill

Edited by: Noctis Lupus on 07/06/2008 19:14:11 Yea thanks for all the answers. No. I know it it has to be hauled. I guess to use an example. Say, I have 3 mill veld to sale. When I look in the buyers tab I see only a few people that show as green. Meaning if I understand I can sell to them directly. Is there a skill I can increase that will make more buy orders show as green to me or is that dependent soley upon their skill level and not mine?
Or is that what my "ask range" is that I see on the bottom?

Please tell me where is the range option on a Sell Order. I'm having difficulty remembering where such an option is located.

It is limited by the range that the buyer set on his purchase order. Skills only give you more range options. On your side of the operation, skills will have no influence. You'll have to move the veldsparr, or arrange to have it moved, to a better location.

Wait until you see the new project I am working on.
It's in my signature--and once you see it live and in full action, you will take this statement back.

First, hit escape. Then go into the tab "General Settings", and click the checkbox marked: "Enable Easy Settings". You should now be able to set a range on your sell orders.
