Hmm, I cannot help but feel disappointed. Oddly enough, I actually enjoyed those sermons of hers, despite supposedly being her enemy. I'd like to think I'm not so disconnected as to value that against her supposed 'evil', but... to hell with it. A glass to the dead, for thoughts freely shared. May you someday call this all a hoax and randomly show up out of nowhere.

While I never had anything against her personally, I must say she did throw a rather fun party before her demise. My favorite part being when my Malediction scrambled her pod and pelted it with rockets. Oh well, life goes on eh? ______________ Eloquence belongs to the conqueror. |

Edited by: Cailais on 10/06/2008 00:43:32 Revan I always felt was an intriguing character. Despotic; yes. Bitter - almost certainly. Insane? Possibly. But for all these things she was at the very least impassioned by her beliefs although erratic in her application of those beliefs.
Her passing marks something of an epoch. The events of the past few weeks suggesting our universe is undergoing a convulsive change to its established order. A fragment of history has gone with Neferis's loss of life and that is regretful, but no doubt she would see the timing as exquistly delightful.

There is only one thing sadder than one Falling from God's grace: one that has fallen and died before returning to his side. Such was the fate of Revan Neferis. And the eternal darkness will be the price.
None of us should make fun of this or the person, for human she was. And an eternal reminder that anyone can fall as deep as it can be. May no more follow her path. May she rest in as much peace as she can find.

If it mattered so much your human heart she would be here still, wouldn't she Constantine? About your revenge, keep it if it serves to warm your cold nights. Tonight and for the rest of your days she won't be there by your side to hold you and that is the only good outcome of this sad death.

Eh, evil as she was, I will miss her rantings... I've been told that my guffaws of laughter at reading them could be heard even through the vacuum of space. Nothing spices up a boring day like a good bit of hilarity.
In all seriousness, it is good thing to have the universe permanently rid of another Blood scum. A pity that she died before truly repenting, but then I suspect she would have only killed more had she lived. |

Edited by: xadesgod on 16/06/2008 06:37:58 Oh, Revan Neferis, the loudmouth incompetent pirate-wanabe evil carebear? that one? Oh Lord, The universe of Eve just won`t be the same. She accounted for over 20% of all pirate wanabes i ever blew up. One less "Great" teacher means less easy kills for me. I used to think she trained them wrong on purpose. I deeply grief her untimely death... Used to think her arrogance was based on facts but i learned it was based on fiction. I, and many others, had the honor of killing her pets and sometimes enraging her to the point where she would come out of the station herself. Well, not too often. We thought she was spacesick and had to sit in the controled atmosphere of her chambers in-station.
I belive she will be missed, just not by me or the people i know.
PS: What cloning facility was it that she died in? i`d like to send the employees a couple crates of spiced wine. They earned it.

I was greatly saddened to hear of our Lady's death. I leave not but a few words in her memory though she deserves much more. We will miss you, we followed you through even the hardest of times, and you have been an inspiration to us all. To all those whom would throw mud on her name, SHAME ON YOU, she is worthy of your respect even as a foe, and especially in death. I care not of your personal vendetta's against Lady Neferis, but know this, I do care what is to be come of the legacy she left behind. Be you Enemy, Be you Friend, remember her name and speak it with honor.

*Kohiko appears on the feed with both hands held towards the camera. They start to flutter and draw back from the camera before overlapping and returning to continue the motion over and over again, much like a magician pretending to look mystical. She starts to speak slowly and ominously while eyeing the camera in exaggerated dramatics.*
Oogah-boogah...
Heebie-jeebie...
The dark energies surrounding this topic - and more specifically, the jump in the date stamps - have a strong feel of necromancy about them... Wooooo...
*The middle finger of her left hand flicks down for a moment, and a paper doll "floats" up in front of the camera thanks to the monofilament string attaching it to the moving finger. Kohiko gasps dramatically.*
It rises again!
*With a snicker, the feed blinks out.*

It's ... slightly funny, actually.
Revan Neferis long styled herself a goddess, one who would reign forever, though, as I recall, she also anticipated the arrival of the one who would prove greater, and depose her (though she seemed to think it would be some time, as in, a few thousand years, before that happened).
That being so, I'm curious why we're seeing such grief from various quarters without the hailing of the new deity, whoever that may happen to be.
Surely she couldn't have been killed by someone unworthy of the honor?

My guess, she isn't dead, and this is just to build hype for a return. But then I am a tad cynical. / "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in getting up every time we do." - Confucius, Chinese philosopher & reformer (551 BC - 479 BC.) |
