I can't figure out if you just missed my point YGR or just decided to provide me with random data. |

Guys.
Guys.
A Caldari ship that is named after a bird.
Mind. Blown. Who would have ever guessed such a random fact?
PS: Spoiling someone's fun by giving them some startup in EVE?
EVE is a terrible game to begin playing without start up money from friends.
I do agree, though, that there are instances when it is a bad idea to give a new player ISK.
For example, if your friend is mentally handicapped and is unable to figure out how to play and enjoy the game after you've loaned them some ISK.
A person of that nature simply wasn't going to enjoy EVE anyway. You didn't really screw their gaming experience up. |

YouÆre right. I was being stingy. The idea was to familiarize him with the Eve environment. ItÆs harsh, here. My family has always been in the honor roll of the School of Hard Knox, itÆs over on the east side. It was my firm belief that had I given him everything, what he had would have had no intrinsic value. However, after mining for a couple of months (he did a hell of a job maximizing his potential), I thought I would re-introduce him (he was overwhelmed in the beginning) to the market.
Those skills and experiences he has had (one was mining in low-secà not ninja mining, either) has made him into the financial powerhouse he has become.
But, if knowledge has value, I gave him billions.
Oh, and to date, his money's tied up in the market at a NAV of 11B. He says if everything gets sold like he wants, it will bring his NAV to 23B. Yay nephew!
