Edited by: CetusOfAsuran on 09/07/2008 13:19:48 OK WE ARE READY well nearly what i need from you lot now is a timezone of interest. If you are interested in taking part please leave a post and the approx time(please use eve-time as its the easiest way) that you would be most likely to be able to take part.
The rules will be slightly different to how it was intended in the beginning. here goes The event will last for 2 hours exactly, all ship classes upto and including cruisers will be allowed although i would only like to see the rookie ships used to keep your costs down to a minimum NO restriction on fittings, rigs/T2/ewar will all be permitted PODDING IS ALLOWED IF YOU GET AWAY WITH IT the event will take place in the hatakani system(where the corp is setup ready) you may enter with your main or send an alt age is of no concern an entrant at a random time will be chosen at random as the target ship where all entrants must immediately hunt and kill any ammo requested will be supplied(place your request in the message upon appying) a selection of t1/t2 items will be available for use and will be dropped throughout the event in cans as "power ups". the corp in question is a real corp set up for myself and will remain active for anyone wishing to stay a member, where future events will take place (hide and seek, tag, bulldog just t mention a few i am working on) or just to drop by and let some steam off.
Ok, now show me how much interest there is, hope to get it kicked off in about 2 weeks but only if the interest is there. http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=792173&page=2 |

yup the 1900 to 2100 time slot was where i was thinking.
Quick note the first event's timeframe has been set to only 2 hours as it will really be a testing phase for turnout and exactly how it will all go down when the 23hour marathon eventually goes. http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=792173&page=2 |

IT's ON!
The date is set and will commence on the 25th of july at 19:00 Eve-time.
Ok, to enter all you have to do is join my current corp (plan on setting up an entirely different corp specific to games if it is going to be worthwhile) which is "the well of urd" you will find an office in hatakani - sukuuvesta station.
Simply apply to join anytime between now and 18:58 on the 25th.
The event will take place at a bookmark within this same system, upon entering the system you will be fleeted and you will warp to me at 20km. Thats about all, no restriction on modules, although ships are restricted at this time to T1 cruiser class at a maximum, please come in mind that YOU WILL LOSE YOUR SHIP.
I encourage the use of rookie ships mostly, sure start off in summat decent if you like, but in keeping with the spirit rookie ships are encouraged.
Right to encourage participation, there is no entry fee, thats right its completely FREE to take part. I will personally hand out prizes at random times, this will be by the order of the destruction of a certain players ship, it could be me, it could be you. Prizes will vary from 1mil isk to fully fitted ships (battle readyfor the use in event) to random modules and faction items. Aswel as the random choices, certain participants(maybe all) will be given items to put in the ship hold, this is to be collected by the person who lays the final blow(although if someone else takes it you may have to try and take it back .
Well thats all, this event will be more fun with more people so please join, tell your corp m8s, friends. Remember it doesnt have to be an alt. http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=792173&page=2 |

ok and now its not, after about 80 eve-mails of interest in early days and a bit of interest shown here for a free for all, no isk entry competition i have had a total of 0 entries, i do still have a corp to run, isk to make etc without sidelining it for nothing,
oh well guys maybe some other kind person will give away shit and organise a non-lotto "event" one day for me im out, alot of hard work for no-one to bother,
thanks again, fly safe http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=792173&page=2 |

sorry guys, was alot of work to organise, had built 1000s in ammo of all types, frigs and cruisers ready for battle arena( were just gonna be unpiloted so could jump in all fitted quite randomly some good some not so good) including 2 faction frigs( but could they be traps with dire fits?)
Before the cancellation post i had received atotal of 84 eve-mails from people saying they were interested, stating timezones best for them and the best was selected, also a bit of interest shown here but when it come down to the actual taking part i sent replies to ev1 who had mailed me ingame and got nothing ev1 was not commiting either "be there if i can" or honest cant make it or no replies at all. All in all it became quite dis-heartening and decided to cancel it so could decide to try summat else.
Please keep an eye out on these forums i havnt completely given up yet and have some interesting ideas, for example: 1)ever heard of a game called british bulldogs? 2 sides of players (marked by cans) players rush to otherside and try to survive, cans would be out of range of weaponry and rule would be straight line no deviating, hows that sound?
2)this come to me while thinking bout the other cancelled one. Ev1 starts in a pod, ships all over place with different fits cans everywhere with different ammo, no ship would be armed, so get a ship get some ammo go pew pew, survive.
feedback would be good, may try again with most popular, personally i think no2 sounds crazy.

TBH, yes there is a chance. Im going to sideline this particular event for now as i think it would work alot better with a high volume of rookie ships to really get the "rookie mayhem" going but i will venture on with another game i really like the sound of. plz scroll up slightly and have a look at the event idea marked as number 2 and see if you may be interested in summat like that.

cool, number 2 sounds awesome, that would rock, everyone in pods, frigates with small guns on (only put 1 or 2 lasers down cause they have inf ammo) dotted around, containers full of ammo in different places, sounds good, you could decide the winner on number of kills minus number of ships lost.
BTW i think idea 2 sounds better

yer, wasnt really gonna have a "winner" as such, yes there would be prizes, mainly in the cargohold of the ships or fitted to the ship itself, thus being when the timer runs out all fitted modules that havnt been destroyed either in the cargo or fitted to the ship, yes, a number of faction items will be used(hopefully not destroyed in the destructions) and also some "bookmarks" will be placed in cargoholds these will be labelled with a random isk award belong to the current owner.
One quick question though? does podding result in a concord response or just a standing hit?
