I was just wondering what people do with their shares of IPOs that turned into scams. Yeah yeah happened to me too, small investment though. But the shares still sit in my wallet as a constant reminder lol.

Keep them. The constant reminder will be useful the next time you consider investing in a dubious proposition. |

The "Random" person is the best thing to do, IMHO.
I sometimes have station cans I can't do anything with the stupid can because of the log.
If I'm not coming back to the station or I'm leaving it. I rename the can to something like Zydine Supply. open a trade window with some random person and click accept. 98% of the time they'll quickly hit the accept button thinking it was not meant to goto them.
It's pathetic that's the only way to totally dispose of a station container quickly..
Only one person has asked in local if that was for them and am I sure I have the right person. That one got the can plus 1mil ISK for being honorable. |

Simple. Send them to Ricdic. Especially the RHCRP ones. Those are worth to him more than you know. In Ricdic's own words, he needs to be constantly reminded of his limitations and swears from now on not to let his poor judgment to be the main reason why others invest in a scam as well. Besides, Ricdic is also known for falling asleep while missioning with a 9B isk ship (permatank would be possible with 4B these days) and to have "lazed off" on his investors on at least one account. So you could say that he is the perfect choice. |

Sometimes you have a way of adding to the value of a discussion, sometimes you say stupid **** that could have been left in your head. Which time do you think this is? Hint: no value has been added to this discussion |

Whichever time you think it is, of course. I've answered the OPs question from my point of view. Someone sent me one scam IPO share and I've already passed it to Ricdic. He never gave it back. Draw your own conclusions.

My conclusion is that you don't always have to get your digs in regardless of your reasons for doing so. We all know you two don't like each other but you don't have to bring it up every chance you get.

I expect anyone to do the same thing for me and I would gladly thank them. When I'm proven wrong and I know I might have damaged a honest person's reputation, (unlike Ricdic) I do apologize publicly.

Treelox has an alt especially for defunct shares. I think I gave him some a while back, though I've already forgotten which offering it was. He was happy with them and I got a cleaner wallet, win win.
But I also keep around a few "mistakes" to remind me how stupid I can be.

To say that I do(n't) like Ricdic would mean permanently obscuring a small portion of my awareness with a worthless feeling which is not the case. I assume you wanted to answer the OP's question as well but got carried away.
Let me change this back to your original response.

You see, part of having such rapid ups and downs means that his post content is going to move between the two extremes over a short period of time. You should be used to this by now.

In the "old" days I used to create 0.0 ISK escrows and dispose of my crap that way - people would snap them up, or bots, like crazy before even realizing that they were getting my junk....
