In this, Munin will be ahead, for Hurricane cant reach these optimals. But Eagle or even Ferox will most likely be EVEN better. So poor Munin is left in nowhere between drone/missile range, where Hurricane (and ANY other BC tbh) is better, and long-range "shoot ant GTFO falcon style" operation, where rail-based snipers kick his ass.
I still like it though. Inties **** bricks when they see one for some reason :)
And, my 2 cents - after faction ammo and scripts introduction Tremor is vurtually useless on Munin. It is too hard to get lockrange to those 100 km. Tracking penalty is so high that effective DPS of Tremor is higher than that of DomiCL only at 90-100 km small interval. And everywhere else it just doesnt hit. --- Redesign local/scanner feature - make the place huge, dark and scary again! |

Hurricane 6x 720mm Arty II, 2x Std Launcher II (Precision lights) 10mn MWD I, TC II (Optimal), 2x SB II (Unscripted) 3x Gyro II, 2x TE II, DC II Optimal: 76+22 / 0.00815 Tracking

Now you're going to go off on the importance of range for the Muninn - and I'm going to respectfully disagree. You're a fool if you think the Muninn's optimal engagement range is 100km.
The Hurricane does absolutely everything save 100km sniping better than the Muninn at a fraction of the cost - and the Muninn itself sucks at 100km sniping.

If you're using the muninn do pop inties at a gate camp you're doing it wrong. Just get a stiletto, put two webs on it, get some remote sensor boosters on it and assign drones. That is how you kill inties in a gate camp. Hell, you've got a good shot at getting cov-ops before they cloak.

Well that might be more of an issue of tier 2 BCs being pretty darn good. Sure muninn might get a slight shaft because it is minmatar ¦but these variaties occur in other ship classes for other ships. I might add in alot worse manner also. The muninn is really not far behind the other sniper hacs.

Wrong. It's not even close. Half the range of an eagle. Much lower DPS and range than zealot. It's easily the worst hac overall, and the worst sniper to boot. It has a ****ty base lockrange for a sniper so you can't shoehorn in more tracking mods because you have to fit 2 SB's to lock at max hit range. Medium Tremor ammo is worthless because it doesn't grant enough range to overcome the 75% tracking penalty, and 100K is a stretch with faction carb lead, which leads you into having a VERY short engagement window and a **** locktime ( again scripts **** you ccp )
It would be so good at it's job with a few tweaks, but as it stands, it's a lower Alpha hurricane that costs 3 times as much.
