1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is? Yes.
2. How often do you use the IGB? Hardly ever. It seems to not want to work or freeze a lot for me. Very picky about pages.
3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable) Try to keep it open as shortly as possible, like all windows, unless in use constantly.
4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.) Depending on how useful the application was of course... but leaving the IGB open would not be any inconvenience.
5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered? Wouldn't effect #4's answer.
6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode? Nope, fullscreen.
7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications? As much as needed, but quiet often, as I am now doing.
8. Do you want 10 million ISK for filling out this survey? If you have it to spare, sure. My toon is perma-poor.

1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is? Yes, the in game web browser.
2. How often do you use the IGB? I take a peek for most combat missions.
3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable) Typically for the duration of the mission, or longer if I plan to do another one right away.
4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.) Probably not.
5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered? Wouldn't really change #4.
6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode? Nope.
7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications? Fairly frequently, every 15 minutes or so probably.

Because of this, I am attempting to get a show of hands to figure out how viable a certain implementation of the idea is.
If you properly fill out the following survey, which should only take a few seconds, I will gladly send you a whole 10 million ISK for your time!
Note that all of these questions directly relate to the implementation of the project.
This is to get an assessment of what it will take to get people to use applications in new and interesting ways, and how much of a nuisance it may seem to them.
Please write your answer below the question.

1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is? Yes, accessed via globe icon in Neocom.
2. How often do you use the IGB? Rarely, but that is a little dependent on comms activity. If links get posted to chat, I usually open ones that I am interested in. Very occasionally to check our IGB target list.
3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable) Almost always less than 30 seconds after the load is complete, very rarely ever more than one minute total.
4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.) I really don't know if I can answer this appropriately. My initial thought would be a definite downside, but I haven't run the IGB for any length of time to see if it would negatively affect my client.
5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered? Yes, if there are features that are useful to my activities, I would be willing to endure a slight degradation of performance and screen real estate.
6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode? Very rarely, perhaps on the order of 1% of the time or less.
7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications? Fairly often, roughly 20-30% of my non-combat time would be outside of the Eve client.
8. Do you want 10 million ISK for filling out this survey? Yes.

1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is? Yes!
2. How often do you use the IGB? Hardly ever. Unless of course the website only works in the IGB.
3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable) Not applicable.
4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.) Not necessarily. I would wonder where the logic in this decision was, but if it's minimized it doesn't bother me.
5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered? It probably would. But then again, I'd still wonder why I had to KEEP it open instead of just visiting this awesome site whenever I wanted.
6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode? No.
7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications? I only ever alt-tab out to check EFT or something, for the rest I use my laptop which is right next to my EVE-puter.
