Aye

Occasionally, usually just to look up mission info
3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable)
Until I log, usually minimized
4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.)
So long as it doesn't cause lag, fine by me
5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered?
I'd have to know how much isk/how innovative/what features are offered
6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode?
Negative
7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications?
Very often, though it sometimes leads to EVE crashing on me
8. Do you want 10 million ISK for filling out this survey?
But of course |

Yes.
2. How often do you use the IGB?
Pretty often. I use Grismars EVE WIKI, the Navigator on there and EVE-Agents
3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable)
The longest is probably when I'm using the EVE navigator.
4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.)
I dunno. Does it use a lot of CPU cycles?
5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered?
It'd have to be something so useful I wanted it open in a window all the time.
6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode?
Yes.
7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications?
Quite often. I actually have a second machine running for IM but I have iTunes and a web browser open normally.
8. Do you want 10 million ISK for filling out this survey
Yes

1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is? Nope
2. How often do you use the IGB? Never, still pretty new
3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable) .....
4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.) Errrr as long as its optional, it would be fine so people can choose based on preference
5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered? Incentives always help any situation of course, this survey being a good example, but if a product is good it would speak for itself.
6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode? Nope
7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications? Loads
8. Do you want 10 million ISK for filling out this survey? If you can spare it and dont mind then sure, if you cant then its not a problem. |

1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is?
Yes, that feature which allows access to the Internet from within the EVE client.
2. How often do you use the IGB?
Frequently, often several times in a session.
3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable)
Not very long, as it is often to view humorous links or view/post killmails.
4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.)
Not really, as it can indeed be minimized.
5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered?
Should the site feature the elements described, it would increase the likelihood of keeping the IGB open, yes.
6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode?
No, only on the rare occasion of checking something in-game against an out-of-game program, like EFT or EVEMon or marketing software.
7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications?
Frequently. This is the most common way of viewing internet content, as many web pages are OOG in nature.
8. Do you want 10 million ISK for filling out this survey?
Sure. |

Edited by: BLAIYNE on 21/08/2008 14:49:23 Well, I've typed this now, so isk or no isk I may as well leave it in case it is of any use.
1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is?
Yes
2. How often do you use the IGB?
Not at all
3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable)
N/A
4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.)
It would depend on what the application did. If it was something useful, I might consider it. But I would want the option to switch it on and off at times, for example, in battle, when I want minimum clutter and maximum bandwidth.
5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered?
My answer is pretty much the same. Although isk is always welcome!
6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode?
It depends - if I'm running 2 clients then no (it seems more stable that way), otherwise yes.
7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications?
It depends what I'm doing, and how hostile the space is in which I'm doing it!
8. Do you want 10 million ISK for filling out this survey?
Good question. If saying no means I get 400 million, then no. Otherwise yes please. Hey, I'm playing a Caldari, what do you expect?!

Good luck with your project!

The never ending thread.
PROOF
1) There is a never ending stream of noobs entering the game and discovering the forums.
2) Therefore there will be a never ending stream of people posting in this thread in order to claim the 10 million isk (as it is a lot of money to a noob) despite it being consistentnatly pointed out no more isk is being sent (and i think the op was outed as a scammer? needs citation)
3) If this thread every drops off the first 10 pages, some mischief maker will bump it before the three months closes.
4) GOTO 1
Without interference from a mod this thread will never die.
