2. How often do you use the IGB? varying, maybe 5 times per session
3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable) once after login to check out the news and before every mission i'm not yet familiar with (eve-survival.org) stays open if it's a mission with many triggers
4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.) a turnoff if it affects performance, otherwise i probably wouldn't care if it has to stay open/minimized
5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered? no, doesn't change my answer
6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode? no
7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications? every few minutes, using virtual desktops on linux switching workspaces is instant.
8. Do you want 10 million ISK for filling out this survey? considering i'm the ~230th poster i don't count on it, sure would be nice though :)
hope this helped!

2. How often do you use the IGB? not very often. have most of the info I used to use it for wirtten down in my notes
3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable) 10 seconds to an hour, hard to say.
4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.) If it had to be open the entire time. probably not, as it would prevent me from using it for other things. But I have no problem with having it open for an entire gaming session
5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered? It's a bonus, would make me disregard not being able to use the igb for anything else.
6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode? no
7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications? very rarely, only during long auto-pilot routes(with no valuable cargo).

2. How often do you use the IGB? Rarely/Never
3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable) I used to use it for connect4 but I lost that link..... It never stays open.
4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.) It would be a downside, but not a major one. I typically end up with a dozen minimized windows in a session. It would be more important that the time taken to open it up at first was worth less than the value I got out of the program.
5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered? Yeah absolutely. If its worth it I'll keep it open.
6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode? Yes.

1. Do you know what the In Game Browser (IGB) is? Yes, unfortunately :p
2. How often do you use the IGB? Not that often, too slow.
3. When you do use the IGB, how long does it typically stay open? (If applicable) 5mins at the most?
4. If an application existed that required your IGB to stay open during the entire duration of your EVE session, would you consider this a downside or a turnoff to using that application? (note that the IGB can be minimized and left alone. It just has to be open to a certain page.) Ultimately depends what the application does.
5. Does your answer to question 4 change if there is ISK involved? If the site is extremely innovative? If you enjoy the features that are offered? Probably not.
6. Do you run EVE in windowed mode? Yes.
7. How often do you alt-tab out of EVE to view forums, websites, instant messengers, and other applications? Don't need to alt tab in windowed mode. But I guess once every few minutes I switch from the eve window.
8. Do you want 10 million ISK for filling out this survey? No thanks, keep it. .: Kiimbir Starshadow Corporation |
