Assisting the Amarr Milita as a Military Advisor over the past few days has been one of the most exilerating experiences of my EVE career. What the Amarr Militia lacks in numbers they make up for in heart, and commitment.
Yesterday was no different. After hearing reports of Multiple Minmitar fleets roaming the Amarr contested systems I decided to put a fleet of my own together to show them that they were not going to get a free ride. As intel reached our battlecomms reports of multiple Battleship class vessels were reported.
I decided to show Minmitar that we too could bring out the heavy equipment and so the request for Battleships went out. My fleet od approx 46 pilots consisting of approx 15 Battleships linked up in the Kuomi system with one thing in mind. Minmitar destruction!
As we began to move out we first stopped to rescue a couple of pilots stuck in the Kamela star system before setting autopilot to the Auga system where over 90 hostiles were reported in local. We were outnumbered, however we felt that sound tactics would prevail.
As we jumped into Auga the hostile element started to warp to the gate, and we started to engage. 1 by 1 the Minmitar ships went down, however we were outnumbered at least 2 to 1 and could not hold the field. Wave after wave of reinforcements poured in on both sides but Minmitar, as true to their ways of "speed" were quicker to the gate and the battle.
Our Fleet Command ordered the warp out, and a regroup was set. I was not going to give them the field with all of that loot. We rallied in 3 different systems and eventually converged in Auga again and started to engage. My fleet was still holding at approx 48 with local in Auga at 127. Once again Minmitar proved to be faster in massing on the gate with reinforcements and although we fought bravely we were cut down. Enemy wrecks at the gate numbered 78 while friendly wrecks numbered 39 (Approximates )
At this time blood started to boil, and adrenaline kicked in. I looked into the eyes of each and every pilot in my fleet, and in the Kuomi system asked those who wanted to fight to step forward. In a thunderous chorus the entire fleet shouted "For the Empire!"
We were going to go in for a 3rd and final time. Approx 2-3 Billion isk worth of loot on the field, and the Minmitar fleet was fast at work salvaging and scooping. After an assesment of our combat strength Fleet Command decided that we COULD infact give it one more go. The battle is now reaching its 1 and a half hour mark, and the men are bloodied, and ships damaged.
We once again jump into Auga vastly outnumbered, and outgunned yet determined to hold the field. This battle was going hugely in our favor until an enemy Dominix warps to the gate and is primaried. He had an impressive tank and as we were primaring him Minmitar savages were destroying our support. Big mistake but one we learned from. We were forced to retreat for the 3rd time as the Minmitar fleet proved too great.
In the end the battle was lost, however the Amarr Fleet fought valiantly. We showed Minmitar a glimpse of what is to come as our organization, and logistics backbone fortify. As a Caldari Pilot it is tradition to salute your enemy after a battle well fought, and today is no different.
We will meet on the field of battle again, and the next time your Vagabonds will not escape!

Nice write up Wraithstorm. It shows humility on your part to give your opponents their props for their prowess. It also shows that you are fighting hard an unwilling to back down in the face of greater odds.
Glad to see you are enjoying yourself.
From my perspective both sides seemed to have done a great job. (and since I am Gallente... great job Minmatar!)
Keep it everyone!

/me salutes back. If you have to choose between death and death, the choice is easy; you choose death and better make it worth it every single spark of life given to you.
How much ISK did the Amarrians pay you for your advisory, Caldari?

No isk exchanged hands. The Caldari and Amarr are in this together, and if 1 militia fails we both do. Therefore my presence in the Amarr Militia is strictly voluntary.
Technically Im out of the Militia as of this post, but that is just to form a Corporation and get right back into the mix!

Caldari...they seem to have more uses than mere good trading partners.
Those who make sacrifices in the name of the one true cause are indeed of the enlightened.

I see, no ISK exchanged hands? Well I don't believe he did it out of love for your god, Scaga. You must earn something out of this, Wraithstorm. Traderights?
Well, as long as you keep writing up things like this I actually don't care who pays you Caldari. Money well spent.
