This is not about the full screen F10 starmap, these changes are for the right aligned in flight map when you press F11!
Proposed Enhancements:
 The Black Rise region has not been added.
A zoom function on the universe map and on the solar system map. so we can differentiate between regions on the universe map and planets/moons on the solar system map. Right now, it is difficult to distinguish between the closely placed dots on these maps.
Add jump planner capabilities to the F11 map since the F10 map
1) takes a long time to load.
2) takes up the entire screen making it entirely unusable in combat situations (ie. you are in a fight and need to figure out what direction additional hostiles can come from or an escape route for your own forces.
 Integrate the F10 and F11 maps by allowing the F11 map to display the most recent color coding you selected on the F10 map.
Example: I select on the F10 map to color stars by security status, and the F11 region and constellation maps will color them the same way.
Example: I select on the F10 map to color stars by ships destroyed in the last hour and the F11 region and constellation maps will change to match.

The bulk of the thread is suggestions, not bug reports. It properly belongs in F+I, form what I know of forum rules.
