I can buy 2x 30day GTCs for $29.90. Why would I want to buy a 60day GTC for $34.99.

This has been discussed many times already, but in short, weak dollar means CCP made less money and couldn't afford to supply Oveur with his usual intake of Bree.
Oh, and wasting money on some crappy fishtank.

United States is in the middle of an economic depression/recession, so the dollar is weakening. As a result, the prices of things that depend on the US dollar are going to get more expensive. CCP is probably just trying to hold out on raising US subscription prices for as long as possible (or is waiting for Blizzard to do so first).

I'm not angry that they raised the price. I'm ****ed that CCP had the gall to cover it up by saying "oh we're just changing the timecodes around, 60 days is better ". If they just said "we're raising the prices" then it's "ok, do what you have to with the changing market". I'm rather ****ed because up until I heard about that I thought CCP was the one company that wouldn't try to pull **** like that.

Are you a teen-ager or something? What is wrong with you? I am not going to get into a debate about "people flying planes into buildings" - but everything is not black & white, and two-dimensional. I think one of things you should think about is the aspects of the Western World and its effect on other populations of Earth, and how certain country is seen as a symbol of the West and as such a primary target.
Also, might want to think about Great Britain, and the expansionist politics that had flown from there in the last century, and things like colonialism and what the "Empire" had to suffer after it abolished all of its colonies. Just look at history in general.
We may not agree withe the politics of many of our governments, but at least we have a choice not to agree and elect someone better, some other people have no choice in the matter, and are often executed for simple show of dissent to an imaginary religions figures, or for being a homosexual, or *******, or transgendered, or for not honoring their parents properly, or disagreeing to marry a man who is 70 years older than them, or for being raped and then, because there are no three witnesses of proper respect the rapist goes free and woman is punished again.
Everything is not black and white, as I said above, and you might want to show consideration and respect, and not use something as horrible as the attacks on 9/11 to justify idiotic forum posts.

Only while they last. For example, Shattered Crystal just sent out an email to affiliates that they would be selling the 30 and 90 day codes until they ran out but would only have 60 day codes after that.

30 day GTCs are being phased out. The new GTCs cost more now. CCP hates you. Forgo all rational reasoning presented by fellow forum posters, and even things said by CCP themselves. It is a little odd that the 90 day gtc's are only $4 more than 60 day gtc's. I guess people should buy the 90 day cards before they run out. Looks like they are raising the price by quite a bit.

The only thing that's really dumb about it is that GTCs cost more than credit card payments. Why spend the time and effort buying GTCs when you can just use a credit card? (apart from the whole "method of selling/buying isk, while still paying CCP" bit)
