EVE Online: Crucible 1.5 has been deployed. This thread will be unlocked once the game is open to the players.
Crucible 1.5 introduces the new launcher for EVE Online, new rookie ship models, several new DED complexes, as well as numerous watch list and UI improvements. Full patch notes are available here.
We are changing the patching process with the introduction of the new launcher. For more information please refer to this EVElopedia article and this forum thread.
General feedback about Crucible can be posted to the [url=https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=80363&find=unread[/url] thread.

Patch just ganked my client.
Model Name:iMac Model Identifier:iMac11,1 Processor Name:Intel Core i7 Processor Speed:2.8 GHz Number Of Processors:1 Total Number Of Cores:4 L2 Cache (per core):256 KB L3 Cache:8 MB Memory:8 GB Processor Interconnect Speed:4.8 GT/s Boot ROM Version:IM111.0034.B02 SMC Version (system):1.54f36
Logged on for first time since update. Asked if I wanted to download patch. Downloaded fine. Asked if I was ready to quit and install. Said yes. Went to "this may take a few minutes dialog" and froze. Tried to re-launch client and it said it was broken.
Tried with client copy and same exact thing happened.
How should I proceed? |

Launcher works fine.
Seems to have patched properly, however, when I click "play" I see the splash screen for a couple of seconds and then it closes. Not error message, pop up, just closes.
Hardware info: Mac book pro 15" 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GB 667 MHz SDRAM
MacOSX 10.6.8

I have the same issue... new Launcher installation came up, hung, crashed... now entire client is screwed.. Can we get a fix for this please... ASAP!!...
Support just tells me to run repair.exe... on MAC OSX??? |

Multi client gone? used normal process of tweaking bundle name etc. but the new launcher reverts to base install copy. |

Docked in Korama III-10, attempt to speak to R&D agent. 1st attempt: client freeze followed by exception when I said "request mission" Subsequent attempts: agent shows as "offered" in agent view, client freeze when I attempt to open agent conversation window. Background is drawn but window is not rendered.
Have not yet tried with other agents (3 crashes is enough for one night).
Space, inventory, industry, wallet, skill queue interfaces all seem to be working correctly. |

I did a reinstall... still, Launcher install crashes on installation, mess's up entire client... so now I can't play eve till CCP decides to answer my petitions to which I have requested updates numerous times... no response.
Pointless in paying for a game that doesn't work. |

When is starts to open the new patcher it crashes and destroys the client requiring me to redownload it. Really need this fixed fast...

I open the client, it comes to the main menu, says the patcher is ready. Closes the client and beings to opent the patcher. The patcher beings to load but hasn't fully opened yet. It crashes and says its not responding.

no fix yet for this disaster... most of my corpies are offline due to the Launcher installer crashing.

At the first attempt on the client 1 I waited a while but after I forcibly closed and the client is broken, the second try with 2 client I left to run the installer and the end was able to update the client. Now I'm waiting to download the patch and I hope that works, but the first client is gone. now how do I reinstall multiple clients if I have no instructions on that? |

Post patch for me, its a massive performance drop. From smooth to slow and choppy. Ran my client on 1280x800 Med and High settings before, now even placing settings on Low, its still slow and choppy. Tried restarting the client, and restarting my computer to no effect.

Exactly the same for me. It appears to have moved the installation inside another package also call Eve Online/Resources. When you move that back to the applications directory, it asks you to patch again. Rinse and repeat. |

Grim, can you please clarify more specifically. I've tried moving the tgApplyPatch.app file around and have had no success with it. Currently 10+ more hours to d/l the client .dmg. That's what I get for "cleaning" out my HD a couple weeks ago. Largely, I have not had as many problems with the mac client as I've read from others on here, so I consider myself lucky. But today I had the same problem as post #2 where the patch d/l'd fine, but it wouldn't install and now my client is broke. I knew I should have put a longer skill in the queue before bed last night....... |

same problem as all the others. so reinstalled client and after 7 hours it STILL DOESNT WORK. Plus no response from CCP. THIS IS A JOKE. CCP SORT YOUR LIVES OUT. AT LEAST POST A MESSAGE ADMITTING YOU MESSED UP AND YOUR WORKING TO FIX IT. FOR ALL I KNOW YOUR ALL IN THE LOOS TAKING "sorry" AND LIVING THE ROCK AND ROLL LIFESTYLE OF A CCP DEV IN ICELAND.
p.s please stop your 24/7 rave and fix this.

Post patch my frame rate is down from 15-30 FPS to 4 FPS. Unusably slow.
Everything is just clunky slow and horrible now. |

Same issue here as these two. Everything seems to respond at lot slower, graphics aren't rendering in a reasonable amount of time and my frame rate has gone down. It seems like it's drawing more memory than it needs to from the GPU.

Launcher does not install. Various errors in system.log (will provide upon request, but this appears to be highly reproducible).

What was changed?
I use the "Duplicating EVE Online.app" method. From what I can see there's a different set of references to the prefs folder (CFBundleDisplayName, CFBundleName etc) and the PrefsFolderName has been removed. I dont see anything like that on the wiki.
Changing the CF related bundle names and readding the PrefsFolderName doesnt work. Both clients still point to the same prefs.
I'm guessing this is fundamental to all 3 styles of running duplicate instances of Eve. Whether it be duplicating the client, running two via the command line or using the symbolic links all of them need separate prefs. |

Please re-read the instructions carefully, and follow them step-by-step. You are trying to edit the wrong info.plist -- the one you see first is the one for the launcher. You need to dig a little deeper to find the embedded EVE Online client app and edit the info.plist that is contained inside that. The Polls are open!
