Hi all, I haven't played Eve properly since around Kali/RMR, though I have kept up my skill training. Feeling like I can face giving Eve another go after so long, I started with some L3 missions, checking out all the new modules and systems in game (I think I've figured out rigs and salvaging and haven't looking into invention yet). Well I lost a few T2 frigs but nothing I couldn't replace, and spent most L3 combat missions in a Prophecy, which I found quite easy.
I want to give L4 missions a go before deciding whether/how to head into the world of PvP. I was thinking of using an Apocalypse, set up as follows:
High: 6x Mega Pulse II, 2x Arbalest Cruise Mid: 1x 100mn AB II, 3x Cap Recharger II Low: 3x Active Hardener II, 1x LARII, 1x MARII, 2x CPR
I can trade the MARII for a 2nd large one, but cap drains...I think the Apoc ship bonus has been changed? I haven't tested this, but wanted an idea of how survivable it would be in typical L4 missions now (caldari navy missions, most likely). Also, what capacity industrial ship would be best for typical freight running missions?
Finally, I seem to recall that back in the day, doing missions for Interbus raised standings with all (Empire?) factions. Is this still the case? Are there other corps out there who offer a similar benefit? Are Interbus LPs worth the time invested? I was thinking I could make a jump clone at one of their stations and jump there to do a few missions to keep standings a little more balanced.
Many thanks in advance. -------------

Another question...to install a jump clone, do I have to have high standings specifically with the corp that owns a station? I have excellent standing with the caldari state, but cannot install onto a particular station, despite the station being owned by a Caldari corporation.
If not, can I install a jump clone to a station which permits me to, jump to it, fly it to this particular station, and jump back (delay excepted)? -------------

Dump dual rem, fit 4 mission specifics. Add DC if possible for some additional resists. Dual rep is rarely (if ever) needed on missions, even lvl 4. Dont forget 3 CCC and combowave of thermal drones. As for jump clones, AFAIK u need 9.00+ standing with corp to install it on one of their station. After that jump at your leisure.

Edited by: KingsGambit on 29/06/2008 17:28:45 So does that mean my above jump clone idea will work? ie.
- Create clone on station with sufficient standing. - Jump to new clone - Fly to another (arbitrary) NPC station (without sufficient standing) - Jump back to first one (accounting for the delay)
Also, if a skill is already training, will the time left change because of the difference of implant bonuses between (jump) clones? Or only skills which start training while in a particular clone?
@ Akuma, what modules ar DC and CCC? |

Yeah, your JC idea is fine.
You need to pause, and restart the training to use a JC, so the implants you jump into will change the time taken.
DC = Damage Control, CCC = Capacitor Control Circuit rig.
I would think twice about doing caldari missions in an Amarr ship, as the damage type is wrong..... |

Great, thank you all for the replies, very helpful indeed. One last unanswered question if I might presume...does missioning for Interbus (still) increase standings with all (Empire) factions? And either way, are there other corps that offer a similar benefit? Are concord agents available now? -------------

Unfortunately there are no Interbus/Concord agents anymore.
