Hi there,
Have you tried closing google Chrome while running the Launcher? Some people have reported that it is the browser which is causing this.
Please let us know if this resolves the problem. Associate Technical Producer - Core Technology Group |

I do not use google chrome and on the vista pc no program was running while the client was being patched.
But on the win7 i was playing chess @ instantchess dot com via firefox during patching and that finished without a problem |

Launcher fails at the following:
It does not close when i hit play button and the game starts.
Downloading patch for each client, even if its the same patch applied to all clients.

Does this occur even with the option to hide it checked?
Regarding multiple clients, have you tried the Import/Export patch functionality in the Settings menu? |

People have been mentioning this, but we're having trouble getting an internal reproduction of the issue, browser related or otherwise. I take it you've successfully patched both today and yesterday? |

For me it (obviously) happened due to opening one of the clickable links in the launcher during patching (which still doesn't work btw. - still a blank page! - IE9). Looking for more thoughts? Read my blog or follow me on Twitter. |

I deleted the patch file, cleared out all temp files from Vista pc using DiskMax and re-tried and everything went through perfectly. That includes the latest patch from DT.
On the Win7 pc, i was streaming a movie in Firefox while patching(today's patch) and that worked perfectly.
Not sure i can be of assistance since the Vista pc patched correctly, but always willing to help. |
