EVE Online: Empyrean Age 1.0.1 has been successfully deployed on Tranquility and we’re now open for business! As the patch was deployed we have had some issues with the auto patcher, if you haven't been able to patch you can do so manually by downloading the patch from this page. Patch notes are available here.

The website was down for database upgrades, that was not related to patching at all.

Wish I could have gotten to this page before I left for work. Well I guess it is my fault for not checking the downtime information last night before I went to bed. Just another 8 hours missed train time. Nothing that I am not used to due to my own inefficiencies.
Hope it works when I get home for work.

If that was true, then the client auto-patching should have worked while the website was down.
It didn't.
And I wasn't the only person that had the problem.

Was it my imagination or was CCP staggering the patch downloads. When I first logged on I didn't get the option to download the patch, but eve-Files said only 12k were online, that went on for 15 min only 12k.About 10 min later I logged on from a different computer and I was able to download and then all of a sudden there was 13k online.
Then I went to the original computer and the download was stopped again. had to wait another 15 min till the window popped up.

Autopatch didn't work for me either. Website was down also, but since I didn't need to log on right then, no harm no foul.

I fixed it using the solution posted on battleclinic. Find the following files at C:\Documents and Settings\*USERNAME*\Local Settings\Temp\EVEde**.tmp.
RTA82920 rename to alut.dll RTB82920 rename to audio.dll RTC82920 rename to ortp.dll RTD82920 rename to vivoxsdk.dll RTE82920 rename to wrap_oal.dll Copy the dll's to C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\bin |

figures.... some dude has better brains that CCP devs and finds a solution to a bug they cause on their OWN FREAKING GAME! Jesus Christ, where you find this dorks to hire them? do you take homeless dudes from the street in Island and turn them into Devs?? is this an unemployment support program from CCP?
I mean, how in the name of Bhuda can you dorks release a patch without even testing it! and its not like the first time it happens... at least i got to be thankful this time you didnt screw up my computer like last time. Can't download patch (http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/evepremiumpatch56866-58188.exe) and no auto-patch.
Not having an auto-patch doesn't bother me, but not being able to download at all . . . full blown suckage.

I take offense at this. We dorks are a proud people with a rich culture and heritage. It's not our fault if we aren't very adept at making coherent decisions. We try the best we can, and isn't that what really matters in the end?

Auto installer worked fine for me, but that may be because I'm on vista.
Anyway, CCP, you regreted to inform us that you suck at fixing things, and deadlines, and scheduling live dev blogs we would not have a working API key system anymore.

After downloading this patch I can no longer right click on a channel and join eve-voice, as it is no where on the drop down menu. Also, in audio settings there is nothing below the "Enable EVE-Voice" button, such as the echo test, keybinding, etc. Thinking it was simply my client being crappy I deleted everything and downloaded a new client. Same exact problem. Help? ____________________________

Once, just once, it would be REALLY nice to have a patch that didn't mean I have to re-****ing-build every ****ing setting and overview ****ing tab from the ****ing ground up.
For ****'s sake, CCP, can you not manage the settings in a backwards-****ing-compatible way once in a ****ing while?
Here's hoping the profanity filter isn't broken

Did you launch the game from the patch installer ? Aparently that does cause a full reset - I did it once However, I have not had an issue in ages with any patches by closing the installer then launching Eve from my regular shortcut.
To those with connection problems where it isn't ISP (not many I'll bet ) I did have an issue connecting wirelessly to my Belkin modem router, despite stellar latencies (I am in UK). I reverted to my old ADSL modem and the problems went away - which prompted me to directly cable to the Belkin, and hey presto, connection was rock solid. Dunno if its a Belkin issue or Eve, but the fact that the DC's were only Eve, and a non-Belkin direct wired connection was also OK makes me think the eve client or server doesn't like wireless first hops.
In general, though I give this latest patch a big thumbs up. No more memory issues, white screen, 3D render-freeze on prolonged play, and I can again run 3 accounts reliably. My hardware is modest (Laptop, core duo 1.66GHz, 2 gigs, Windows XP Home, 7400 Go 256Mb), and I have zero interest in the Trinity fluff - classic grafix more than good enough for immersion, and gameplay is king IMO.
Best patch in 5 years. (Remember Castor - right load of Pollux, superceded only by the damage the boost patch did this year). 1.0.1 has delivered a fix to the harm that came with the boost patch / trinity. I am happy.
Just my experiences. Keep it up CCP.

(Xav here, logged in with the wrong account)
Yeah, sorry, shouldn't have been quite so harsh probably. It's a good patch as you say.
I run three accounts, and like the pretty trinity bits, except my laptop can't run more than one premium client at once. This means that I have six instances of Eve, one for each client in each of classic and premium modes. This makes faffing about with Settings a royal pain, and leads to the kind of frustration exhibited in my post above. Sorry CCP, you're doing great things, but if you could pander to the inefficient foibles of this foul-mouthed muppet, I'd... well... probably just find something else to be frustrated about knowing me
