Yes, I've petitioned, but i want to say twice today, with a fully up to date clone, I have lost SP when podded. I would have hoped we got an eve mail when SP are taken from us but it is done very stealthy apparently. How do i know i lost SP? Because my EVEMON shows me having more SP then my character sheet does in game shortly after being podded..i.e. evemon takes time to catch up, i guess. I'm sure this thread will get shut down and ill be called paranoid i hope this happens to no one else.

If memory serves correctly, EVEMon displays your "realtime" skillpoint total, whereas the character sheet only shows your skillpoints when you last started a skill. If you pause and then resume the skill it should sync the charactersheet total with what EVEMon's telling you

doesn't that seem a little ******ed too you then if something in game isn't displaying the correct amount of skill points?
but then again that's never stopped you guys before.

Pause and resume the skill in the ingame character sheet, not in EVEMon.

No, it doesn't. Accessing the databes to update the skillpoints on all characters in New Eden every 10 seconds would cause even more lag - that's why it isn't updated until you change skill / pause training ingame.

iirc you get an evemail stating the skill point lost and to which skills, if you did indeed lose sp.

No you don't. Well at least I did not. I had it petitioned and to no avail. I had to ask what I lost.

EvE Mon shows your SPs being updated second by second as you train the skill, your character sheet shows them only once the skill is full trained. ______

Greyscale believe it or not you can get podded and lose sp even if your clone is updated... I have had this happen to me though the circumstances required will not happen often.

Way ahead of you Skunk. Faife, punctuation goes inside the quotations. Hard, I know, but that is how English works!

no it doesn't
it might be how American English works but they spell colour incorrectly so don't have a leg to stand on...
also - i think he's using the quotes for emphasis rather than as emphasis for one and quotation for the other - so the quotes rules don't really apply anyway
jeez, i'm a boring ****er!!

So here's me being a pedant: yes, you're absolutely right according to traditional American English rules.
However, in really modern grammar theory, this is being dropped. This is especially true in professional writing in Computer Science, which is where all my professional writing experience is, cause when you quote code it becomes difficult to tell whether the period is semantic or syntactic.
"Wow, that's fascinating", you say, "but I need an example". Don't worry baby bird, I'll feed you. Example:
... we can account for the YYYY/MM/DD format using the following regular expression: "\d\d\d\d\/[01]\d\/[0123]\d". ...
As you see, putting the period inside the quoted blob would make it look like you need an extra character in order to make the reg exp work.
So yes, you're correct traditionally, I'm consciously going with the wrong usage here. And no worries, my posts are always perfect in all ways.
Chiers.

It's not a bug. IG character sheet almost never shows the full amount, the number shown only counts fully trained skill levels, so if you trained something and stopped it before it was done. character sheet will not count that, EVEMon will.
Clue should be that it didn't update after you restarted EVEMon, they display it differently. If you had lost SP it would be displayed once you restarted EVEMon.

wtf are you on? if you pause a skill eve automatically updates the amount of SP you have, you do not need to complete the level ------

I've heard of it happening to a guy who got podded a second time right after he updated his clone and undocked...
But then I couldn't confirm it because it wasn't me... he did stop flying command ships for a while though, so it may have actually happened (or he was just lying because he felt dumb) ------------

In regular academia your example would still be incorrect, but your premise is valid. Nowadays, punctuation only goes inside the quotation marks if it is relevant to what is being quoted.
E.g.:
I asked him, "Did you see that movie?"
Did you see "Transformers"?
Pedantically yours, F'nog

Nope. If you lose implants, you continue to train a skill as if you still had them until it finishes training or you switch to a different skill. This too helps reduce DB calls.
