And I quote ..
"If I ever see another member of the Minmatar government, whether Republic or Nation, it'll be an eon too soon, Captain"
How do you see this? Government is in two distinct parts Republic (presumably the 4 tribes of) and nation (Elders et al)? I'm confused. A Nation cannot exist without freedom, we are still fighting for both. |

From what I understand, you'd be correct. The "older" part of the Minmatar has always been the established Republic Government. With the addition of this new section, they couldn't just keep calling them "The Elders". Nation probably revolves more around the idea of unifying the people, getting all their rights back, and vanquishing those who oppose.
....think of it like 2 parts of the, now, same government. Like Democrats and Republicans.
I'm tired....forgive any ramblings. - - - Aloriana Jacques - Skill Sheet

Who represents the Nation in government? Any hints in fiction anywhere? I was intrigued by the image of Shakor surrounded by the 'cheifs of the tribes' ... possibly a hint that it was more than just the 4 tribes and Shakor does in fact lead the government (inc Nation)
Also noticed Thukker standings changes were confirmed. A Nation cannot exist without freedom, we are still fighting for both. |

There are total of seven tribes, of which the four biggest are Brutor, Sebestior, Vherokior and Krusual.
The others are, in the likely order of influence: - Thukker. Nomads, they are hostile to the Republic, friendly to Matar. - Starkmanir. Previously they were thought annihilated, but in fact were saved by the Nefantar. - Nefantar. The traitor tribe, who defected to Amarrian side and become known as the Ammatar. Apparently there was a "loyal" part of the Nefantar which helped hide the Starkmanir from genocide commanded by the Ardishapurs.
Thukkers have been ingame long, Starkmanir and the "Nefantar Tribe" (i.e. non-Ammatar Nefantar) were revealed in the events surrounding the Empyrean Age expansion launch.
