Edited by: Baudolino on 08/07/2008 13:05:18 I came up with this fit to combat some 9km/s Nano-sacs that were pestering my previous alliance. Also works great against far off falcons
Only for small gangs. In large gangs usually random who dies and this is an expensive ship to loose.
"Max speed" - 4.5km/s "Overheated" - 6.5km/s resists are approx 75,75,85,89 2x Blue pills (20% to shield boost) **Good speed and good tank**
High: 1x Warp disruption field (with script) 1x Arbalest heavy missile launcher 4x Heavy missile launcher IIs *Caldari navy thunderbolt/Havoc/scourge + fof
Med: 1x True Sansha Web 1x Med electrochemica cap injector 1x Republic Fleet Microwarpdrive 1x Invulnerability field II 1x EM hardner II 1x Large Shield booster II (Large DG would work as well)
Low: 1x DG Ballistic control system 2x Republic fleet Overdrive 1x Overdrive II
Rigs: 2x Polycarbon Is
Implants: 1x Set LG Snake (the speed ones if i remember correctly) **I don`t have LG omega 1x 5% Base velocity 1x 3% Combat booster chance of side affect 1x 3% Reduction of side effect +some other stuff..
Related skills: Combat booster skills at lvl 4 (3 skills) Thermodynamics lvl 5 Nanite skills at lvl 4 (3 skills i think) HIC lvl 4 most other stuff at lvl 5
Obviously i could increase the speeds by using LG omega and the 5% microwarpdrive speed implant, a third faction OD or upgrading to standard snakes. I don`t want to put too much isk in a ship i`m going to loose though and i feel this setup works admirably.

For responses like that, direct attention to the following: You don`t need 9km/s to catch a 9km/s hostile engaging you! If you believe that is a requirement, you do not understand combat.

i dont think he asked about velocity just a general statement i.e. "is it over 9000?" doesnt mean "is it faster than 9 km/s?".

Im guessing a broadsword would have a lot more agility or less mass as its minmatar, so wouldn't it be better to use one of these since they have pretty much the same slot layout?

I won`t be flying the minmatar cruisers and command ships for another 13 days- I`ll look into them when the skill is done.
Just wanted to share a fitting that i haven`t seen much on the onyx- one that works pretty good.
Broadsword might do better, i don`t know. Looking forward to getting into the minnie ships though.

You get from me 7/10 for that linked post thats good for educating the uncouth masses (and perhaps limiting nerf cries) and you get 9/10 for "Sultano Di Babylonia et la prostituta" which is an amazing song. Oh wait no thats Braduil isnt it? :( Arguably my opinions represent to an extent the opinions of my alliance and in particular circumstances give rise to a valid "casus belli" claim. |
