I recently started playing EVE, and I've been putting the finishing touches on my character (from an RP standpoint).
However, there's one thing thats been bugging me: While the EVE Wiki has a few good articles on the various races in EVE, it doesn't have a whole lot concerning language, particularly words and phrases specific to each race. Is there a good place to uncover this information at, or would I have to go buying up and poring over all the EVE novels to pick up stuff?
Also, apologies if this would be the wrong forum to post such a request under; this was the best guess I could make as to where it would go.

Afaik there's almost no such thing as specific language for each race. Just the general naming of some cities, planets or something along those lines. Then of course you have the technical jibberjabber but that's not even restricted to specific races. Just plain old English would be my guestimate. ___________

This chronicle is the only one that I know of that specificly address the differences in language.
Otherwise it can be expected that each of the races has a dominate primary lanaguage with a variaty of dialects for different bloodlines, planets, etc.

Language translators
Some people put together something on Caldarese (or something like that), the Caldari language. It's not official, but a number of people use it. Not sure where to find it, though.
Sometimes people use Latin to represent Amarrish, though I dislike this practice. It has been theorised that Amarrish is similar to Persian, though the non-premium graphics for the Bestower do have Greek leters on them. This may suggest they use the Greek alphabet and their language is based upon it, or it could simply be religious iconography.

It's called "Caldanese", actually.
The unofficial rule seems to be that the words are a melange of Japanese and Finnish, and that it's open season on the syntax - so long as it looks or sounds good, nobody's going to complain.
About the only thing I know about Matari is that people usually take words that read like a combination of Klingon and Icelandic, then shove a lot of extraneous apostrophes into them like pins in a voodoo doll. -
