Hi devs (or at least I hope one day a dev will read this) Some time ago you implemented this "Align To" button in the overview... This is realy a great feature, but I think it has some flaws
First it should also be available at all context menus where you have a Warp To, so for example on bookmarks, group members etc.
And second it would be much more useful if you could align to something without moving. So when you come into a (potentially dangerous) system, you could align to your next stargate without getting visible. And after aligningt I would speedup to initiate warp. This would also make this feature more useful for fleets, where all can align to the next stargate without making the compete fleet showing up at the gate. This not moving alignment offcourse should only happen when you are in the autocloak mode after jumping into a system. In any other case the speedup is fine to initiate warp.
At least the first part should be easy to add in one of the next patches, the second is prob. more a political desision (if CCP wants that or not). CU online, Eve G.

Agree it should be available on all context menus that have warp as an option.
However if you are ALIGNED by the very nature of aligning it requires MOVEMENT and thus will de-cloak you after jump-in. If you don't want to de-cloak then don't align... It's really just that simple. You can't align without moving.

If I'm not mistaken, it's the aligning rather than a speed up that takes most of the time to initiate warp. Even a battleship will initiate warp very quickly as long as you're aligned. So allowing people to align while cloaked would render gatecamps very close to useless unless you're using interdictors... Don't know if I agree with that. Adding it to the context menus I concur with though.

Please read up how this alignment system works, because this suggestion is pretty much nonsense. The time to align to a specific vector from a standstill is absolutely the same for every direction, no matter what your client tells you.

The opposite is true. It does not matter in what direction you try to warp after jumping. As long as you don't get bumped, of course. The only thing that counts in this scenario is the time you need to reach 75% speed.
