Say, if you're not in a major alliance, and have a carrier, would you pimp it up with faction stuff for tanking? Say, more "accesible" ones like Caldari Navy shield stuff or Amarr Navy armor stuff? EFT says that there is a big gain from using faction stuff, and I do have friends who hoar Caldari and Amarr Navy, and would offer me the stuff for cheap.

Yeah, like previous poster stated, like faction smartbombs and navy EANMs... They aren't that expensive on contracts either, atleast when I bought mine.
Either you are for or against us, there simply is no other way |

Cheap faction stuff yeah, high end faction stuff probably not. Caldari Navy invuln field for example is an expensive item that I'd avoid (275-325 mil).
Even if you're in a large alliance a little improvement in resists could help out in a cap fight if you're spider tanking.

Faction stuff that isn't ultra expensive sure.
If I was a carrier pilot personally, I would probably not spend more then 800 - 1000mil on the fittings. Either people will disagree with me and say only T2 stuff and others would say f'k the cost. Somebody set up us the bomb |

There are 2 faction fittings for carriers.
1 - when you want to pimp your tank, this is expensive and it's matter do you want to put that much cash on setup. Not obligatory on ever carrier.
2 - Cheap faction stuff with t2 stats, this is something EVERY carrier must fit because of cpu saving, when it comes to remote cap transfers then ur cpu dissapear. ---

Faction heavy neut and smarties are obligatory. Cheap one or two cheap faction EANMs/Shield hards for CPU are useful too. Anything else is wasted tbh. Assumption of Risk |

An unanimous consensus? The reasons and arguments were compelling, I am convinced. I'll have another section of corp wallet dedicated to faction stuffs for the Carriers.
While on that topic, out of pure intellectual curiosity. How about those on Dreadnaughts? Something that'll be involved in heads-on slugfights?

Yes and No.
Cheap Faction stuff for Carriers, unless its in a cap-on-cap fleet fight, then T2. Officer for Motherships / Titan
Nothing special, not big or clever, just 20 fighters and one hell of a tank.... |

I like faction damage mods on Dreads. ------------

T2 > use it if you dont like to loose money
Faction > use it on caps like Dreads or Carriers or on Mission runner BS's (if you are a rich)
Officers > use it on Motherships or Titans (or on Mission RUn BS's if you are a carebear), Simple :D
