Episode 13 is here, and the whole gang is back!
Bring on the Drones:
In the recap and update, Crovan gets into Faction Warfare and the guys share a bit about their in and out of game lives over the gap.
This week's Don't Panic covers tanking. Those who heard Crovan's feature on Warp Drive Active a few months back will probably remember a similar feature on that show. It was chosen this week in the continuing theme of getting new players and converted carebears ready for PvP, as well as refreshing the old-timers.
Lots of mail this week, including quite a few asking if the show still existed. We do, we promise!
In out of game discussion, Age of Conan comes up for what is likely the last time, as none of the gang are playing it any more. Find out why!
We're renewing our call for mp3s. Audacity is a free, open source program that is great for recording and editing. In fact, it's what we use for the show! Also, our Skype voicemail should be working. Please tell us if you try it and it doesn't work, or if you leave a message, period!

Nice to hear from you guys again.
A very average show in view of all you could have covered with factional warfare and Tony G's book. If you are in North America and you want the book you will have to order it from Amazon UK for the time being.

Awesome dudes! Factional Warfare stuff is cool, keep it comming.
BTW I got the Tony G book Empyrean Age, and it is so good, well writin and easy to read or maybe it is just so cool, great characters and everything.
Also I've joined the Caldari Militia and Danial Jackson is an awesome leader, I flew with him. Good time baby!

For Blinky and Urban, I blame their latitude. This is the only time of year fit for human beings to be outdoors in their respective homes, whereas Al and I are likely to find any excuse NOT to be outside at this time of year.

Actually, you can order the book from Amazon.ca though it comes up under the original title of Marius. I got mine a about a week ago!

I actually just managed to find it on Amazon.com, too, but it's under the title "EVE," so you're best bet is to search for Tony G's name.
I just ordered it along with The Art of EVE, which comes very highly recommended.

The in game channel The Drone Bay has gotten pretty active. I've spent a bit of time answering a few new player questions, as well as enjoying some discussions other than newbie help ;)

If I'm on, I'm in that channel. Granted, sometimes combat or other things mean I can't always chat in there, but I am more than willing to talk about the show, answer questions, and just generally chit-chat. I see Al and CK in there quite a bit, as well, so stop on by.
We plan on recording the next show tonight, July 14th, at 10pm EST (apologies to our European listeners ). We won't be doing a live show, as we don't have the technology worked out for it, but it's possible we could find some means of getting some audience interaction through questions from the chat room or something similar.

Drone Bay Episode 14 was recorded on Monday night with some live listener's, courtesy of Ventrilo services offered by Lake. We're going to start experimenting more with the live show idea, but I think everyone agrees that it went rather smoothly for a first attempt on short notice.
On a related note, we'd like to find some more effective means of streaming the show other than hijacking a Vent server. I know there are some services like ShoutCast out there with mixed reviews. If anyone has experience steaming audio, and wants to help us out, please drop us a line.
