The other day while smashing some minnies I was speaking to a friend of mine while he ratted in a low sec system. Out of the silence I saw "Crap!" He had been attacked in low sec. When I asked who he sent me a copy of the kill mail. Now it is my understanding that the Gall fed is fighting for the freedom of its people. Well his corp is part of the Fed and not involved in FW but "Endless Destruction" had attacked him for no reason. Now this corp is part of FW and there attacking Gall citizens in gall space? I think that FW has gotten out of control and needs to be reigned in! If people aren't even safe with there own milita in the system as them than what the Heck is the milita even fighting for?

*giggles* The current militia system is simply a Concord tool, designed to let the capsuleers shoot each other without Concord and their sentry turrets having to waste ammo disposing of them. Unfortunately for your friend, certain pirates have decided that obtaining free targets is more important than remaining independent of Concord's influence.
This does not, however, mean they are going to break with their old habits.

Well I am the one who was attacked in low sec. I was sitting at a Galliente Faction accell gate and scanning for other anomalies. I am not a pirate only a Gallente citizen of Intaki decent and I have a positive security rating. I was not aggressing anyone and I have worked extensively for the Gallente Navy and have almost attained an 8+ rating. So how is a Gallente Militia corp going to justify its members attacking and destroying a Gallente's citizens ship? Would they have killed me as well if I hadnt warped away in time? Is this what we can expect from these so called militias? Who is going to protect us now not the Gallente Navy and obviously not the Militia!!

Is this a serious inquiry, because you sound disgustingly naive. No matter, I'll speak slow just in case. As you're probably not aware, ANYONE can sign up for their race's militia: miners, inventors, PIRATES!!! While most involved in the war are in it to fight for their faction's particular interests, a good number are just in it for kills. Just because someone happens to fly the banner of your race's army DOES NOT mean you can trust them and you should never let your guard down around anyone you don't noe, especially in low sec. I mean, come on, how idiotic.

ummm...no one ever said the militia was formed to protect you or any other pilot in low or null sec. If you want safety, stay in .5+ space where concord can hold your hand.

A neutral was caught in lowsec, he lost his ship. This is news... why?
I am sorry but you can't blame the militia for your own lack of paying attention and this pilots actions.
There is no such thing as "there[sic] own milita[sic]", some Gallente spy for the Amarr or Caldari and being a neutral in a warzone is dangerous. Welcome to reality.
