Originally by: Sir Bum Lol nerf amarr? As stated before, its easy to counter a harbi 1vs1 since its dps is all based on therm/em, wich makes it quite easy to outtank it. And if it has such a crazy (em/therm) dps, its tank cant be much, especially if you use a neut on it.
Regardless of whether the Harbi is a little too powerful, it's a really stupid argument to say you can just stack em/therm resistances for '1v1'. In anything but a purely staged fight, you don't know what you're going to be fighting. If you go out with all EM resistances and nothing for the other types of damage, the first non-Amarr ship you meet will destroy you. I guess if the only pvp you do is to stage fights with your friends down to structure, that's a viable tactic, but otherwise it's silly.

Hurricane can definetly kill a harbinger and vice versa just depends on pilot skill.
Altho i have managed to squeeze nearly 825 dps (920 exactly overloaded) from a harbinger and thats not faction. Damned sexy ship.
I dont understand where people get these redicilous 800+ dps harbingers from. Post this hax setup please.
7 heavy pulse II with AN MF, 3 HS II, and 5 hammer IIs nets me 760. I'd like to see this setup too.
That would drop to a normal plated fitted cane imo. Otherwise it all depends on the pilot. Had a 1v1 with a PRVTR harby some time ago in my hurricane, won with 15% hull. DCII FTW

Passive drake will absolutely give a Harb a hard time, though a harb can dictate the fight with such a fitting in most cases.

I havent fought one on the live server, but I killed one on the test server quite easily in my hurricane. But the fight started at close range so that was to my advantage.
I think I had a plated setup with max damage fit. Maybe I used hail too, cant remember.
The hurricane is one of those ships that should not have been minmatar since it has enough turrets, slots and bonuses to be dangerous. But it is.

In general i would say between cane and harb that the harb wins, but when you know your opponent i would put my money on the hurricane. (EM/therm hardeners, energy neutralizers).

Depends on the Gunnery skills. As most pilots realize the higher the level of training the faster you can kill. The Harbinger is a nasty bad ship.

Here is the setup, by the way:
[Harbinger, Gank] 3x Heat Sink II Pseudoelectron Containment Field I Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II 800mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Small Capacitor Booster II, Cap Booster 100 10MN MicroWarpdrive II Faint Warp Prohibitor I X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator
7x Heavy Pulse Laser II, Amarr Navy Multifrequency M Small EMP Smartbomb I /OFFLINE
3x Trimark Armor Pump I
Hammerhead II x5
With max skills, 5% turret RoF implant, 5% medium energy turret damage implant, it deals 823 dps. I think you need a CPU implant to cram all that in - but the 3% turret CPU reduction one will work fine, in case you want to have a different slot 6 implant (the general PG / CPU implants use slot 6, the turret CPU reduction is slot 10).

Implants? TDs? How many Drakes fit 2 TDs?
Please lets keep this using reasonable T2 fits which is how 90% of ppl has their ships fitted

Can someone plx give me a Drake cutter setup for any non BS-ship i keep seeing em everywhere and i lost my gankageddon to a blob so i cant gank drakes in my thorax, atleast i cannot see how that should be done, but if i save up for a disposable harbinger it can be done i guess.
Suddenly Drakes hundreds of em.

May be in a gang... will this Drake have MWD / web / point in addition to the 2 TD's?
I don't thinh a drake like this will have any chance in a realistic 1v1 engage, when you dont know there you may encounter.

why do you want a web on a TDs setup? not like you gonna be close or something. and hmm lets count, drake has 6 mid slots, I think you can put all this things on it :) if you have a chance or not, depends on thousand factors like, enemy ship, @what range did the fight start and so on, but with 2 TDs you will give turret ships a hard time.
nevertheless this thread was about harbinger vs other bc and a nanoed drake with 2 tds will make the harb pilot cry :) and a ham drake will give a harb a good fight too.

The three heatsink harbinger isnt sensible in my profession.
And no i wont tell you the setup - you'll need to figure it out or wait until i publish something that shows it off.
Thing is the Hurricane is more than capable of doing the same dps with hail.
