Never seen a drake take on any of the other BCs and win before. Ever. So it just goes to show in my experience theory doesn't stand up to practical.

Never seen a drake take on any of the other BCs and win before. Ever. So it just goes to show in my experience theory doesn't stand up to practical.
This is because most drake pilots are unforgivable noobs with no idea about pvp... the drake is an awesome ship... ccp obviously took the average pilot into consideration when ballancing :P pity nothing can save them.

That depends Gypsio, i know your fitting for the drake and if your up agaisnt myself with the fitting i choose i dont think your drake can passivly tank 823dps (920+ overload) for longer than my harbinger can. Kinetic isnt a hole on the Harbingers tank.
Could be wrong, but then again you nor i are the average harbinger / drake pilot.

Very possibly, Kessah. I'm not expert on fitting a Harbinger, so I may well have missed something. In any case, silly things like ECM drones can make a straight gank/tank comparison completely pointless.

Harbinger is not alone, someone claimed a 1000dps Myrmidon recently.

I killed a full t2 fit harb in my brut not long ago. I used to use a myrmi for solo pvp, but the Brut has better dps and nearly the same tank ever since the bandwidth nerf. Anyway....
I haven't encountered many of them, but I do not consider them anything special. Anything with a tank good enough to outlast the harb's cap (not difficult in a well fitted gallente BC), will win as far as I know. Cause after his cap is gone....the tank on them is fairly lame and the damage goes away completely.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. You're going to have to tank a long time if you try waiting out a competent Harbi pilot's cap.
