hey, i havent made a topic in a while, but i was just wondering, what is the longest ship that you've had, like how long did you own it for i mean? and what do you mostly use it for

mine is my megathron, ( i know, i know, OH NOES ITS A 5 MONTH OLD PLAYER IN A BS, THE WORLD IS GOING TO END) ive had it for around 1 1/2 months so far, which makes it the longest living ship ive ever had, i mostly use it for mission running however, no pvp except sparring w/ corp members, because its a nice big target, and expensive ship, and its rigged

atm i have a 7 blaster setup (some good named ones, dont have t2, they take forever to train for), 1 scan probe launcher on or offline if im scanning for plexes; 1 T1 MWD (ive heard that a t2 large MWD is a waste); 1 t2 stasis web; 2 t2 cap rechargers; 2 t2 hardeners for mission specific, 2 t2 passive nano membranes, again, mission specific, 1 DCU II; 1 large armor repper (the best named one, need mechanic to lvl 5); and 1 t2 damage mod

so what about you?

** just for the record, i didnt get this ship w/ bought isk, contrary to what anyone older than 6 months thinks about a noob w/ anything bigger than an f'in destroyer, oh no, he has more than 10million dollars, he MUST buy isk, so again, no, i actually had a manufactured myrm, but lost that in a gate camp in low sec, which i thought was high sec, anyway, used the insurance money to get a cruiser for mission running, and a former CEO sold this mega to me for 50million since he prefers domi's, lol he told me he hadnt even assembeled the ship yet

so again, sorry about the flames, but it kinda annoys me, because everyone says i should stay in a cruiser unless im like 5 years old in game, which i can tell you isnt gona happen, you cant run l4's hell even l3's in a cruiser which are the missions i run, and for pvp (im in the militia) i DO fit CRUISERS only ( i can fit cruisers fully t2, besdies MWD, oh and drones), i dont have the money to replace battleships like noobs who actually do buy isk

My most actively used ship I've had the longest would be my Rokh, which I originally got for mining, although now that I got a Hulk I'm not sure what to do with it. (doing lvl 3 missions with it over my Ferox/Drake presents tracking problems and such I suppose)

I'm assuming you meant to say "Ship you've had the longest" rather than "Longest ship you've had". I recommend correcting the topic title.

As far as the ship I've owned the longest, that would be my Imicus. Bought it about 20 days after starting the game, and have owned it ever since. Had to repack it and move it a couple times, but I've always held onto the good old "Palsied Tumor".

It is a great all-round ship. Used it for missions, for mining, PVP (against stupid noobs that stole my rat loot) and even a bit of ninja salvaging, as it has a nice astrometrics bonus. I do wish it had one more high-slot, but it's a great newbie player ship.

My basilisk perhaps. For some reason, it has survived the whole mm fountain campaign, nol, the whole branch war including z-k fightings, several roaming across the galaxy. It escaped camps with several moms on the gates thanks to the low signature radius, and just refuses to die.

For some reason, i have survived one year of wars in it..and i fly it almost exclusively for quite a lot of time now.

Ive had my Megathron for over a year.

This particular ship I actually built from scratch, I for a BPC, mined the minerals, bought the ones I needed to buy and so forth, in all it took me about a month in a retriever to get the goods togeather. Last month when I finally had enough LP's I traded my orginal megathron in for a Navy Issue.

The ship i've had the longest is without a swadow of a doubt my original Ibis, darn thing's almost 4 years old by now. Sure it hasn't seen space in about 2.5 years,, when I last moved all my ships from A to B. Still, I like to keep it, because it remeinds me of my days as an newbie, just exploring the universe.

My Bantam is oldest non-noob ship I've got. Is just a few days younger than the Ibis. Haven't mined in it for ages, maybe I should just do that again for fun. Filling up a hold in about 2 seconds dead.

Ignoreing my ratting raven, which is ancient, probebly my broadsword. For some reason the thing is damn near invincible. I swear there's some ancient mystical magic on the bits for it. It's 3 months old and has been in more fleet battles then I can count and has been primaried at least 5-6 times.

Once it even got jumped on, while agressed, at a gate by about 20 players with 5 in gang. It was called primary and all my allies ran leaving myself with multiple hostile battleships and 2-3 interceptors while being only 20km off gate. Nearly the entire gang has me locked, even the big ships. With the ceptors on me and even the big ships having time to lock I've already assumed it's death when it miraculously enters warp. Hell I don't even remember hitting the warp button.

I swear I could go into the middle of a 50 man gatecamp, with bubble, agress and still through some mirical the servers themselves will explode to prevent my death as I hit structure.

My first and only Cormorant, bought about two weeks after I signed up, making it about 8 months old now. Every other ship in my hangar is a replacement for the ship that filled a given role before it, because I keep losing them to carelessness.

On that note, why must Drakes be so easy to carebear fit? For the love of the light WHY??

What the hell is wrong with a 3.5 month character flying a BS?

I know that it's "teh hardcorez" to not step into a ship until you have the spaceship command skill trained to 6, all weapon skills of that size trained to 4.9, Advanced Weapon Upgrades to 5 (you shouldn't even consider flying any ship ever without that extra 3.5% powergrid) and the ability to afford navy gear (Tech 1? OMG WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?!), but damn people. Chill out. Laughing

Back on topic: my Tristan. First ship I ever bought and it has lasted me 2+ years. It went from a ratting ship to my primary fighting ship during the BoB vs ASCN war. Many an ASCN hauler or Genesis based noob was dropped by that little frigate when I was under 3 months old. Favorite kill with it would have to be a year old Blackbird pilot that somehow had the unluckiest streak of ECM jams ever. After the war I graduated to the Thorax and Brutix but I will still dust my old Tristan off for a ratting or courier run.

Maybe I should turn it into a Nemesis next!

My Occlator 'Ice Cream Truck'. I was working for Big Blue back in the early days of POS's and moon mining, and got high on the list for the first ones. I think its the 3rd Occlator ever built.

I've had it in Empire, Paragon Soul, Querious, Great Wildlands, Cobalt Edge and now in Tenal/Venal. That ship has made me tens of billions of isk over its lifetime. I'll be sorry to see it go boom someday.

mine is my megathron, ( i know, i know, OH NOES ITS A 5 MONTH OLD PLAYER IN A BS, THE WORLD IS GOING TO END) ive had it for around 1 1/2 months so far, which makes it the longest living ship ive ever had, i mostly use it for mission running however, no pvp except sparring w/ corp members, because its a nice big target, and expensive ship, and its rigged

atm i have a 7 blaster setup (some good named ones, dont have t2, they take forever to train for), 1 scan probe launcher on or offline if im scanning for plexes; 1 T1 MWD (ive heard that a t2 large MWD is a waste); 1 t2 stasis web; 2 t2 cap rechargers; 2 t2 hardeners for mission specific, 2 t2 passive nano membranes, again, mission specific, 1 DCU II; 1 large armor repper (the best named one, need mechanic to lvl 5); and 1 t2 damage mod

so what about you?

EDIT: SORRY PUT THE TOPIC UP WRONGEmbarassedEmbarassedEmbarassed

I have a scorpion that is 4.5 years old. It has seen combat (pvp) and done some mission running. I put it in my hangar in empire when I went to 0.0 and it is still there. Sometimes forget it is still there. I also have a gallante cruiser that is older than the scorp and used to use it for mining and later mission running.

3.5 month old character in a bs?!?!?! damn you should have gone caldari and you would have been in that a month earlier and your sec status would be 5.0 by now!!

I think I have a caracal that I bought on a trial account prior to even making this character. so however old I am + a few days Laughing

(may have sold the caracal and then bought one later)

What the hell is wrong with a 3.5 month character flying a BS?

I know that it's "teh hardcorez" to not step into a ship until you have the spaceship command skill trained to 6, all weapon skills of that size trained to 4.9, Advanced Weapon Upgrades to 5 (you shouldn't even consider flying any ship ever without that extra 3.5% powergrid) and the ability to afford navy gear (Tech 1? OMG WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?!), but damn people. Chill out. Laughing

nothing Shocked

it was more of a raven joke. I came up with ship setups that should be able to run level 4 missions (minus say worlds collide or enemies abound) and should be flyable in less than 3 months. Laughing

Ah, okay. I've seen a lot of people that seem to believe that you can't step into a ship until you have every skill that could possibly relate to it trained to level 5. Laughing

I got a Merlin and a Badger MkII I bought in September 2003, and a Ferox from 2004 that survived over 60 engagements. I dare not take it out anymore.

Well i bought a geddon like 3 months in, lost it to a mrym (probably because I had medium guns on :/). Bought a new one, Shot a friend in high sec by mistake, got concordokened. Then bought a new one and have had it for a few months, oddly enough it has survived in 0.0 longer than my ones in high sec did.

I've got a caracal from my first month in, making it nearly two and a half years old. I kept it for nostalgia purposes. I had it completely T2 fitted back when T2 launchers and extenders were really expensive. Embarassed

The longest I ever had a combat ship was probably my Tempest. Well over a year and multiple engagements. I eventually sold it to raise funds for my blasterrokh. I still miss it, as completely terrible as it was. Smile

On this toon it would be my abaddon named "The deliverance"

I have had it since this toon was 1 month old, and it has seen structure around 40 times atleast. Lowest it ever reached was 50% (t2 dcu ftw)

It has been all over eve, from fountain to feythabolis

My first noobship, had it from day 1 and it's still sitting in 44, where I bought my first, non rookie ship, frigate.

Longest surviving ship that isn't a rookie ship is probably a raven of mine that I used in some war with a nice torp fit on it, warped out in structure after an engagement and left it sitting at that station w/o repairing it or anything. It's still there.

I've had my Tormentor for about 10 days longer than F'nog has been in Eve. Yes, it's on another character. So 4 years, 5.5 months, give or take.

Viator - hardly gets used now, but saw great use in its early days shifting loot round in Providence. My original transport ship - must be about 12-18 months old now.
