I just came home from work, and to relax I thought I'd play a bit of Eve and look for trouble around my home area.
So I'm sitting in Klogori, looking at the beautiful stars, when suddenly local flashes:

[16:59:57] Random guy > what type your ship?
[17:00:02] Nanowhiner > vexor
[17:00:45] Nanowhiner > not nanoed
Hmm, weird. He's looking for trouble too! What a good way to test my 1600 plate Rupture after a week of not playing Eve!
We get it on. We rumble. No help is coming his way, so he doesn't seem to be baiting like I suspected. I think to myself "Now this thing is going really slow for a Vexor", while I chill sending drones at the only stuff that is remotely denting me, his Warrior IIs. Eventually, he pops after a quite boring fight.

These days if you have competent navigation skills and a mwd you get called a nano***, a remember a few months back I jumped into a gatecamp in a maller with double 1600 plates, a 10mn mwd I and 280 II artillery, and managed to burn off and warp by overloading my mwd and local filled up with stuff like ''LOL NANO MALLER UR SO SAD'' or ''NANO MALLER IDIOT''
But its becoming more common now, probably because the empire dwellers who took part in faction warfare came up against some nano zealot / vaga / rapier / sacrilege and now think that anything doing over 1,500 m/s (ie: good nav and a mwd) is a nano ship and they are obliged to whine about it on the forums.
furthermore el'tar is gay and I'll kick his teeth in (in game)

Just to continue to share stories of nano whiners!
I hit a gate camp in a falcon.... I have an MWD fitted on it. I hit the mwd and burn out towards the closest edge of the bubble. After full speed and jamming the tackler as well as a couple other ships, I go to cloak up and cant cause drones have me locked (That shit sucks!), so I burn off the gate a good bit and tank the drones as I warp off. The tackler keeps bumping me and I finally get aligned about halfway into my shields and hit the planet. Cloak up and find a safe spot I have BMed in the system.
Local starts flashing, and suddenly people are laughing at me for having a "Nano Falcon". Im like WTF seriously? Nano falcon?... So I laugh at them a while in local and this and that....
Basicly my point here is that it seems like most of the nano whiners are the ones that camp gates and are mad cause their 10 man gate camp cant seem to catch a ship where they obiviously have the advantage...

I fly a nanocurse and Im not even ashamed of it, You know why?
1. Its the only realistic way to set up a curse
2. I get more kills than you ever will
3. You can bump ppl off gates(extremely handy)
4. its just plain fun wizzing around at 3km/s!!!
But in reply to the original post - thats awesome. Let him think what he wants it doesnt really matter - The bottom line is you beat him in a 1v1 and you were both flying t1 cruisers. GJ!

As someone who has flown with Rhak i can tell you he does not nano, and that really is a 1600mm plate on that Rupture. Great kill man!

I dont know why everyone thinks nanoships are gonna be nerfed? Seriously with webs being nerfed as well i think it will even out a bit. And as for the scramblers - If anyone gets within 7500m from your nanoship it would be dead anyways.

I use to tell others that new players in EVE today takes you as a nano fitted ship whatever your fitting is, as long it goes over 1k m/s, it's nanoed.

tried a nano condor once and orbited a corp m8 at 8000m.......got the same feeling as being car sick so i had to scroll waaaaay out to avoid hurling
