I recently finished this wallpaper 1280x1024 after lots of procrastination. Hope you enjoy!

It could be better but it will have to do, really needing to start on some other wallpapers (more eve and unrelated).
I've lost my share of Drakes so this is a tribute to all that have lost that awesome ship :)

Awesome image, however I'm assuming that the corpse is in the very foreground and the drake is somewhat in the distance?
If not the only issue is that the scale is somewhat off, considering the smaller classes of ships would be larger than the drake in that image. (For reference, a Rifter hulled ship is roughly the size of a Boeing 747)
Either way, it's damn pretty!
Any chance of getting it in 1920x1200?

Yep the corpse is in the foreground and I'll be uploading a 1920x1200 size (and others) I think in a few hours - check tomorrow ;)

Cool thxs, I'd like to make something sharper but painterly look works well too :) I think I need a wacom cintiq (or something cheaper), keep looking at the screen wanting to draw on it instead of on the generic tablet I'm using.

btw, nice work, keep it up. As a tip, try to make your next work more high resolution (that means you create it at that resolution so you do not have to upscale it because that sucks)... I believe the highest standart for 'normal' screens these days is 2560x1600 for widescreen, which is what you want really...

I think I had a few things turned off (this wallpaper topic is the first time I've posted here) so didn't see the 'Play EVE: Downtime Madness' link.. or I was blind and now I can see :S
I'll upload a version without the bars/logo on eve-files soonish, and yes I should make a wallpaper version for each race. Stay tuned :P Could be awhile :(

I tried a link at first but it didn't work =) NEVER AGAIN! Copy and paste for everyone.
Actually the original file is 2560x2048, always better to make your work file double the intended size yes.. though only intended it to be 1280x1024. Next time I'll base it on 2560x1600 final size ... oooh 5120x3200.. I should get a new monitor (I wish).

Cartoonish/painty aye true - I would like to make it sharper like most the CCP EVE wallpapers but I'll be happy enough to get more detail in there as a trade off. If I can get it to a quality of
