just fit whatever you want... the only real reason to fly a Dramiel is because it looks pretty damn cool... other than that.. if you are planning on DOING something... fly something else...

Edited by: ViRUS Pottage on 19/07/2008 12:57:36 Why was my comment removed? It was serious. For the isk you pay for a Dramiel, you might aswell get a rifter, which will probably out perform a Dramiel in most situations.
They look nice yes, i once had 1, but sold it short after because it is worth too much for something that will die pretty much instantly.
If you still want to keep it, id go with this -
Highs -
3x Rocket Launcher II - T2 rage rockets 2x 200mm Autocannon II - Hail S
Meds -
Micro Capacitor Booster II - Cap booster 200 1mn Afterburner II
Lows -
Damage Control II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Small Armor Rep II
Rigs of your choice.
Even with just the afterburner, with average skills you should get about 1000m/s. Fitting may be abit tight if you dont have AWU.
Tank isnt anything great, but the damage (143 dps with good skills) is faily decent.
EDIT - If you find fitting tight, you may want to replace modules with T1/named, and mybe swicth the EANM with a plate for abit of buffer. _________

Its absolutely rubbish for pvp, so dont even bother imo, but its quite accurately called a faction inty, my setup is to undock and fly about going weeeeee, bump some people, look at it for 5 minutes before docking.
highs: 2x200mm AC II, 3x Arby missile launchers, mid: Gistti B-type 1mn microwarp, small shield extender II low: nano II 2x OD II
goes 5.2kms
I had one of my corp mates shoot at me in his retribution, two vollys and the thing almost popped. treat it as it should be treated, to look at (as all faction frigs should be)

Sadly there's no point to this or any of the faction frigates (cruisers are about the same). I really wish CCP would spend a little time improving these things. It's pretty damn hard to imagine how an expensive but good frigate would create a balance problem in the game, lol. Same for a faction cruiser. T2 would still dominate, but at least we'd get to use the faction ones. Considering the bangup job the CCP artists did on the faction ships, the least they could do is make them worth flying.

ok, this is with maxed fitting skills but not maxed shield skills, i've taken her through lvl1-3 missions, she will certainly cream the lvl1's un-rigged. lvl3's work with the rigs and a good set of skills.
[Dramiel, passive shield] Low: 2 * Shield Power Relay II (best named if you cant fit t2) Micro B88 Core Augmentation (named to make the PG work, choose the right one for your skills)
Med: 1MN Afterburner II (can drop to t1 to save on fittings) Medium F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction (t2 if u have the skills, i dont)
High: 2 * 200mm AutoCannon II, Hail S (best named if you cant t2) 3 * 'Arbalest' Rocket Launcher I, Gremlin Rocket (t2 if you have the skills, i dont)
Rig: (not needed for lvl1 missions, worth it for pushing her limits through) 3 * Core Defence Field Purger I
I have almost maxed combat skills for guns and armour tanking, i have a basic set of shield and missile skills. While this setup does not lean on my strong points it does work very well, someone with good missile and shield skills will get even more out of her.
I leave the AB on for most of the missions, you just have to keep moving, and dont fly directly at a destroyer, that hurts. If your up against cruisers pick the hardest hitting one with close range guns and orbit it. that will stop it from hitting you while you pop the frigs as they catch up. Because sometimes you just have to go back to your roots: [2005.02.20 01:08:03] (combat) Your Civilian Light Electron Blaster perfectly strikes Serpentis Smuggler, wrecking for 20.3 damage |

Agree with this wholeheartedly. Faction frigs and cruisers suck. Most Faction BS's suck, it's only that there are no T2 BS's that a presently worth a spit that saves the faction BS from being a toy. Almost all faction ships are novelty items that are utterly wothless next to their T2 couterparts.
CCP is long overdue to take a wakeup call and re-engineer factions ships for something more interesting, more durable, and in-line with the intended purpose. Faction ships should be intended to be peers to T2 variants, not poor cousins.
While you're at it, throw in a Faction Domi, please.
