the best ways are to either enable in your drivers control panel or use the graphics settings tab within the eve esc menu.

I've finally managed to get AA working, after much tinkering around. Tried a lot of people's suggestion of using N-Hancer, but that just borked EVE totally. What clinched it for me was to turn down the "Shadows" quality ingame. I had AA set in override mode in the Nvidia driver, and I dropped the shadow quality to counter another problem (enabling SLI effectively). As soon as I changed shadows from "Extreme" to "High" I found my machine running EVE beautifully with 16xFSAA and 16xAF at 1920x1200, fullscreen mode. Also, with SLI now working properly, it was cranking along at over 120fps
Damn it looks sweet.

It does depend on the card your using (though god only knows why).. Some cards will allow it to be activated from the drivers control panel, i think (though im not 100%) that anything above an 8800 needs nhancer set at a certain compatibility , google your cards name and eve online and you will get the answer..

For nVidia, I have found that with my 8600GTS, only the recent drivers released by nVidia allowed me to get AA to actually work with EVE in windowed mode. I just log out as my user account and log in as my administrator account (since you cannot make actual changes to driver settings as anyone but), change the prefs in my nVidia control panel to force AA on in EVE (overriding any settings, not "enhancing" them) and then log in as my user account and fire up EVE.
Doesn't work with HDR yet in Windowed mode though.
