One purely bred for fighting.
I looking to see if I can take out battleships with it and use its low sig to an advantage. How should I fit it, rigs and all?

Rly tho, its only firepower would be 2 medium turrets and a swarm of medium drones, with no combat bonuses, which is very meh. The signature is about equal to a destroyer, which really isn't gonna give you that much of a benefit. Are you thinking PvE or PvP ship?

Why would you waste the money and skills to try and combat fit a Logistics ship?

oh, that was a response to the Scymitar idea. . .
As far as the topic goes, I think post people would agree that there are better ships to actually combat fit then the Oneiros - as a logistics ship its very good for small gangs and roaming style pvp - but its all about the armor reps and high speed at that point. Its quite an exciting game to be logistics actually, gotta be quick and very savvy. And if you choise to persue it - I recommend logistics 5, its a big difference. As a combat ship. . .its lacking. ----

Edited by: JVol on 20/07/2008 12:03:21 Your in luck, I have JUST what your looking for, I set mine up to kill vagas and demois's. It slaughters them one v one.
Highs 2 neuts and 2 t2 425's autos
mids 2 webs 1 point an t2 ab (NO MWD) a weapon disruptor here
t2 MAR, 800 plate and fill in your resistance holes as you see fit
rigs egress port max's
The hardest part in killing thos two above mentioned hacs is getting them alone, once your alone they die screaming and confused. The neuts zap em real quick, when your at half cap they are out, let the drones and autos do their thang.. You need to orbit them as far out as you can and keep the ab on, dont add anything that makes your sig rad go up cuase the tiny sig rad is the best part of your tank, they will miss and miss and ...die :)

I tried this at one point - it works ok - you have no chance of taking out a BS though, so I'd right-size your expectations.
2x Med NOS, 2x T2 Blasters Mids - whatever Lows: DCII, 800 T2 Plate, 2xMAR2
(not sure if this fits, but should)
5x Hammerhead II's.
If you're going combat, EWAR is a good survivability option. Back when no one wanted to fly Log ships, this was a poor-mans alternative to getting T2 resistances without forking out 150m for a HAC (pre-invention); Logs ships were going for about 20-25m then.
Pretty doubtful you're going to take down ship-class mismatches with it though. One good shot of NEUT/NOS from a BS and you're toast.

The reason I set one of these up is I was having a hard time getting fights and thought if I looked like easy gankage I'd get jumped, I did, lost 5 of them, but had a great time, and when I finally killed my first HAC in it, it was one of my funnest kills. Rope a dope at its finest

[Guardian, pvp] Medium Armor Repairer II Energized Thermic Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Reactor Control Unit II
10MN Afterburner II Warp Disruptor II
Quad Light Beam Laser II, Aurora M Quad Light Beam Laser II, Aurora M Quad Light Beam Laser II, Aurora M Heavy Unstable Power Fluctuator I Large 'Regard' I Power Projector Medium 'Solace' I Remote Bulwark Reconstruction
Ancillary Current Router I Energy Burst Aerator I
Hobgoblin II x5
How about some guardian setups too? Cons are that it needs a pair to work, but pros are that it has a heavy neut :P Will perma run in a pair with similar setups, but does crappy dps. Tanks 300 (in a pair) or 150 (solo... but cap is crappy solo) heavy neut gives you 25km range, and the range bonuses on the reps/cap xfer means that both ships can operate at 50km from each other...
