Most of these people assume that non of us have PVP in 0.0
Sigh... I have always fought in 0.0 and this is the first time in empire due to returning after 3 years of military service, and my old corp. not accepting me back. I guess no 0.0 for me.

On the lag note, I have not experienced much lag in the regions, nothing out of the norm. But a lot of random disconnected, which never happened in eve for me ever until my return.

TBH i've been in 0.0 systems with 400 odd peeps in system without major lag....
Few weeks back i was in some black rise system with 70 odd peeps and it was the worst lag i have ever felt.

Lag aside the one thing ive picked up on reading this thread is there are alot of 0.0 alliance members disrespecting people who fight for the miltia, i meen wtf is the problem some people just wanna log in grab and gang and go roam withought a 50 jump round trip in 0.0 or stareing at a bubble 23/7 killing shuttle alts.
If anything the FW has taught me is that anyone can get a blob of ppl warping in the same direction while calling targets what makes You so Special cus you do it in 0.0.

Welcome to 0.0 combat for the past 3 years, moving 20+ ships about has always caused some lag (try moving a combined fleet of 600 pilots). CCP are aware of the problem and can do very little to fix it at this time.
What I do the rest of the time - Vote for a Jita bypass! |

I was in Deckards fleet. It took about 2 mins to load grid, 5 mins to get a lock, about 2 mins for my drones to respond, helped take out a domi, about 4 mins for the 5 drakes that were locking me to get a lock, my modules did not activate untill i had around 5% structure left (had been spamming the warp button since i hit armour), saw evemail flash, 15mins later im warping to the tama gate in my pod, 15mins after that i get bored of looking at the 'boarding ship' message and log off, log back in to find im still in my pod and all is well.
I've experienced my fair share of lag and accept it but on this occasion it really ****ed me off as we had a great sandwich plan in place but was ruined by something out of our control.

Who knows what ccp does to change the way the server handles the loads EVE trasnfers through it.
I would hope that who ever sold them their equipment are in constant contact figuring out tweaks and ways to improve their product and I would ohpe CCP demands this.Is CCP stil in the top 20 for the super computer list?This alone would propmt the server company invest time optimizing it.You would hope.
Saying that, from DAY one of servers being up I have thought of EVE as it's own entity.Sometimes I wondered it EVE just wouldn't restart, or one patch of code would wipe out another vital piece of code.Sure EVE can be rebooted, but it's almost like living breathing thing.They loads change constantly, fight here and there.Jita here and there.So, I can kind of understand wy it so touchy, I mean we are pushing the envelope of gaming today.
After 3-4 years I have not been fed up, who knows when or if I ever will be.Node's being solid and load balance has been an issue in this game from day one, from server to server.Even playing this game in different countries produces the same result.I'm just not sure it will ever change like we want.
I say bring on homeworld type battles with no lag \o/.....

Maybe there should be some server AI that can automatically add resources to systems.. the statistics show- pilots in system, jumps per hour... so maybe there could be some sort of AI that realises a large engagement is about to take place and ensure that there are enough resources to handle it... 
like it was said earlier- a 400 ship engangement in 0.0 with no lag- and a 70 ship engagement in FW space that was unplayable... and BoB moving all of their caps around with no mentions of lag... 
The OP was brought about by the disappointment of not being able to deliver on the operation due to lag... alot of ****ed off pilots... alot of then dead pilots... alot of Jamesons  ... alot of kills that should have been added to our killboard  ... yep utter frustration 
However the point is still valid and something needs to be done about the lag.

I think CCP employees and Devs should be forced to work in slow motion and stay double shifts. And when they complain to customers for more money for the time they spend and their grieving hearts, we can just say "Our logz show nothing" keep working biches!

i was there i was a total joke you all warped in only saw half of you targeted 6 ships modules never fired for 15 minutes our fc was callin primarys we couldnt even see.Then after 5mins of seeing loads of ships to shoot all that was left was wrecks.it was totally lagtastic

You wont stop lag but there are a lot of ways and tricks to minimize. some are obvious like turnung off effects and some well... send me some isk and ill write something up and tell.
