I've been tinkering around for a few weeks with a number of "short range" frigates using a mixture of blasters and rockets.
I finally decided that I'd stick with a Kestrel and load it up with modules that would make it effective in small-time PvP and missions.
I came up with the following-
Hi
4x 'Malkuth' Rockt Launchers loaded with Thorn rockets.
Med
1x 1mn Afterburner (Soon to be a 1mn MWD)
1x Small Shield Booster I
1x Small Capacitor Booster I
Low
1x Gryostablizer I
1x 50mm Reinforced Nanofiber Plates I
Any advice regarding the build would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and also, can a T1 Frigate solo L2 missions?

dude, you have it all messed up...
first of all, you DON'T armor tank AND shield tank, do one OR the other and NOT both.
secondly, what the hell does a gyrostab do on a missile boat? read the item description.
go something like this, although this one is rather skill intensive

btw don't fit ecm bursts

I remember the days when no one really went with rockots on a Kessy. I run 2 bcu's in the lows and I can't tell you how fast i dropped a Hawk one day. This was before rigging tho.

just use standard launcehrs on a kessie, the alpha and range is too yummy to refuse :P
