And now we get to the last of the great leaders, Jamyl Sarum, wherein we find out her future plans and her love for mankind.
This is the last of the special-edition chronicles that gave you a look behind the scenes at the highest level of New Eden governments. From now on we're going back to the regular-issue ones, set in this new world of war and blood, although we may have some more surprises for you down the road.

Edited by: Zikka on 21/07/2008 14:28:56 Nice. :) I do like the way the latest four stories are showing something of the viewpoint of the leaders of each empire.
I have a question actually. I recently completed a story series (31 chapters in 31 weekly releases so it was a substantial piece of work!) (here) which I am currently wrapping up as a PDF document. I was wondering who I talked to in CCP about the possibility of getting it added as a chronicle as I would like somewhere a little bit more permanent for it than a forum thread which will fall out of sight as soon as I stop bumping it.

Very well done indeed. She really comes across as the sort of person who would inspire reverence, even among non-Amarr. -

Edited by: Jocian Orem on 21/07/2008 23:06:49 Excellent. I was worried after the Heth Chronicle that Jamyl was going to be a generic Evil cardboard cutout. I am very happy to be disappointed on that count.
It's nice to see a more nuanced view of the Amarr, that suggests that at least some of them, if in our view are misguided, devoutly believe that they're on a mission to help the unenlightened rather than the standard "RAR! CRUSH! KILL! ENSLAVE!! FOR GOD!!"
Edit: Also, our Empress is hotter than yours

Damn... You know how, sometimes, you notice a small thing out of place? Like, a tiny anachronism that doesn't actually matter, but which you know is going to irritate you slightly for a while, because you're not certain whether it's just an oversight, or actually a really subtle detail?
She knew his name but he never actually told her.
I'm going to go with the whole "divine empress psychic powers" thing to cover that one. Makes me feel better :D -

All the leaders have one thing in common, a total removal form the real world in there own heads, no real grip on reality, but what separates a good and bad leader is how entertaining they are when they trash everything around them.
Amarrs new empress is as she should be, bat crap crazy but caries it with a nice grace and style

Pretty good story.
I'm glad to see she isn't some cybernetically enhanced blob

We're closed for submissions, I'm afraid. Accepting player chrons may happen somewhere down the line, but if it does we'll announce it properly and give people all the info they need to submit it. In the meantime, with a work of that magnitude, I suggest you host it somewhere and have it linked from the sticky thread in this forum.

Well, nobody's evil in their own mind. We all have motivations that we think are justified. And picking apart the "bad-guy" ones is so much fun...

That one was intentional. I was hoping someone would notice. |

I have to disagree, there are some people who are just evil and "just want to watch the world burn sir".

I think they're generally considered to be mentally ill, though. ________________________________ This is not a signature. |
