I'm getting similar errors but mine was a working installation so I can only assume that it is related to a recent framework update. Could also get the error message to "fire" when I went to the updates screen and asked Eve Meep to check for updates.
A fresh install does the same but if I remember correctly a fresh install checks for updates as soon as you open it (as well as asking for API details).

Same here, working installation set to update on start up causes an error. Ignore it and it still works though.. Wait did I just agree with Dante??

It appears in Apocrypha expansion one of the XML feeders (be it CCP or whatever site EVE MEEP gets data from) slightly changed their data format. If you see a "Continue" button, press it and the program should continue normally enough.

I found out what is doing this, it is the xml on the website that the program checks to update itself. I am working to get the site fixed, but untill then I have taken the xml down, which should stop the app from crashing. ------

I am also using Win 7, and the app runs fine for me (however I am running it via Visual studio). Is there a plugin in the same folder as the exe named PluginInterface.dll?
Also the webpage was fixed, so there shouldnt be any more errors about ':' in the xml. ------

Salvis > there is a huge problem in your application, eve if it's a wonderful application.
I talk about the Multicomponent plugin, where you calculate the profit on a Blueprint. The problem is in the price importation, you can import the price from eve central and the Mean prices for Sells and for Buys but in the Needed materials, the price you decide to display it's the Buy price but on a market the buy order are not the price you buy the materials, that's the purpose of the sells orders. You buy what you need that others sells to you :p For example if i need Nuclear reactor unit to build something, i have to buy them at the mean price of 151k isk (buy orders) and not 101k isk (sell orders).
I hope you understand me :p You can PM me in game on this character.

Any information or update on the following problem, as I am having the same issue:
Originally by: Salvis Tallan

Originally by: Corpia Sin How do you set mineral prices? I found the option but it doesnt save them. When I got to the inventory tab it tallies my minerals still using some default set.
I went here as mentioned in this thread http://www.eve-meep.com/about about setting prices. Thats all fine and dandy and I can find those options easily. But they don't save throughout the rest of the plugins! When I check my inventory it still lists the minerals as default, giving an incorrect amount but when I go back to the edit prices option it as them saved correctly.
Thats not supposed to happen. Which default price type is selected? (mean, median, etc) and is that the one with the values from eve-central?
I've noticed the same thing. I was stunned that the "Inventory->Total Value" tab was saying I'm sitting on 20m worth of scourge heavy missles, only to see that it had the price listed at the default 2,500 isk. I went back into Tools->Prices->Edit Prices and confirmed that the price was actually imported from eve-central, just not showing up in total value.

Finally! Data files for Apocrypha are here! Thanks go out to zofu for helping with the data!
After a short break from eve, Work is proceeding on version 3, and I am very pleased with how it is comming along thus far. Most of the main systems are nearing completion, still some UI stuff to be done, and then it will be on to the calculators. Thank you to all who are helping, or who have offered to help! I wont give an ETA, but I believe the wait will be worth it. If you have any requests, bugs, advice, etc. feel free to send me an evemail, email, or stop by the #eve-meep channel on irc.coldfront.net. ------

*Hugs*
Edit:
3 considerations:
1) The new data files are tagged as 2.4.0.0 which might be a bit confusing for those with that version already.
2) In the efficiency tab, the "OnPaint" or whatever is the name for the ME table, there's some refreshing issue. It tends to redraw a zillion times per second when you scroll it to the right dragging the scroll bar.
3) In the schedule tab, the graph got the same feature, it seems self-refreshing like crazy as soon as you hover the mouse over it.

It looks like the Invention Calculator is completely broken after the update. Can't modify Runs, it always returns to 0, and Success Chance is above 10k% with Cost Per Result Run at 0 (I wish it were true!)
But the tool is still the best! Many thanks for your work. I'll restore it from backup and wait for V3

I have the same problem with the invention screen using the latest update. So i went back to 2.2 and updated components one by one to see if i could get most of the new stuff with out error. It appears invention gets screwed up when you update "required resources: blueprints".
Hope that helps.

System.UnauthorizedAccessException is thrown when the program tries to do something with a file that it doesn't have permission to. Try running the program as an Administrator, or putting the EVE-Meep folder in a folder you have read/write permissions for.

As above poster Eleanor Arroway points out - the correct prices are not being imported into the multi component plug in. Minerals seem ok, but components for producing T2 ships are way, way out. Take the Broadsword for example, one of the required componets - Nuclear Reactor Unit imports a price of 16,000 isk (same for all import settings). The lowest price I can find these at is 148,000 isk (Jita). For a -4 ME Broadsword BPC you need 248 units per Broadsword, so the error on this component alone is over 30 million isk per ship, the same goes for the other half a dozen components required for the Broadsword. I cant figure out how to turn the price updating off either and the FAQ of the EVE MEEP home page is not working. What could be a great tool is just not working here unfortunatly
