What is the best caldari ship (up to BS - t1 only) for solo pvp.
HAS to use missiles and shield rep?
Was thinking either scorp or drake :P

Really don't try and solo in Caldari ships. It's like trying to fly a tractor; the best possible result is that you'll wish you were in a better craft.

Fly something else, for real. The only combat vessels I can recommend for Caldari are the Drake the raven and the rokh. Outside of those ships, count on flying ECM or another race. Nothing solo, though. Train up for the sacrilege.

Solo?
If you HAVE TO do solo, swap shield mods for tackle... But ravens don't do solo very well.

Oddly enough the navy Osprey fits this bill. You can fit it to go plaid speed and still have a decent buffer tank and it gets very decent missile bonus's.

Well, to effectively solo in a non-nanoship (though that's a very bad idea) you'd need all of the following:
MWD
Web
Point
DPS
Tank
Which leaves you only one option as far as Caldari go:

That's a solid drake fit if you go that route. Nano navy mining cruiser can also work, and I guess it has the bonus of zipping around at 4.5km/s in the ugliest ship around.

You can nano up a Navy Caracal or Navy Osprey, both are quite good but really require multiple Polycarbs, making them expensive to lose. I really wouldn't solo in any other T1 Caldari ships, I suppose you could take a Drake or a BS but you'll lose them fairly quickly.

Minmatar shield tank. . .if you want to know.
The Ishtar is oftain shield tanked. . .ass is the Curse.
But this is not shield tanking, its a small shield buffer with a massive speed tank.

Try using a blackbird, caracal or Drake with ECM's. Will work better than trying to sheild tank.
