Edited by: eRa5oR on 13/01/2010 22:19:23 Excellent site, may I ask you add one extra filter to your route planner :)
The ability to avoid system by faction eg, Gallente etc, would help when tryin to route plan and avoiding police and navy in systems that are -5 to people :)
Being able to simply add essence/sinq liasion as a region to the avoid would b awesome :)

(I appoligize if this has already been asked)
It would be really great for the Worm Holes dwellers to have the top 5 worm holes and the number of ships killed. (Yes it won't be very many ships but would still be nice to see)

The Jump Portal Fuel Calculator:
Mostly Black Ops pilots have the problem of the fuel bay which is always to small to do anything meanful. The fuel needed for bridging ships is mostly a big unknown in risky situations deep in nullsec space. If youÆre planning a trip using the jump planner and youÆre selection a ship which is capable of bridging other ships, youÆll get the possibility to add the ships to the final calculation and get the result how much fuel you and your guests are consuming. That applies for Titans and Jump Bridges as well.
I hope the calculation is correct and youÆre all happy with the interface and functionality.
Example: Black Ops Bridge: 4 Manticore, 4 Hound, 1 Falcon

I'm not sure if you can do this already (but I haven't found it when looking so it might not be there) but I was wondering if you could do something to show which systems each individual corp holds on the region map? Maybe under the drop down menu named 'Map Info Layer'. I know you can do it if you go to overview of the alliance and look at the system's the alliance holds and then sort by corp to get this information but having it on the map would be useful.
As I've said before; great site, use it a lot, a big thanks!!

Added Corporation to the Map Info Layer and added more detailed informations to the corporation page (like the alliance system/outpost holding list)

Sorry, i couldn't reproduce the bug. Not with IE8 or any other browser on my system. It's hard find the bug you're speaking of when i can't reproduce it.
Was it directly on the page or was it after you click $icon/link?

Hadn't even thought about adding more detailed info on the corporations page but that is a great new feature.
Corporations to the Map Info Layer addition is really interesting, as now you can easily see which corps are taking the brunt of the sov holding. Also its interesting to see how systems are distributed among corps.
Thanks a lot!!

Not that it is a big deal, but under corporation history for alliances, over the dates of joining and quitting an alliance it says "joined" and "quitted". "Quitted" is not a word. You would just say "Quit". ----------------------------------------------------

Most(but not all) of the systems that I try to view are giving me this error:
Quote: Fatal error: Call to undefined method page::cdnlink() in /srv/www/evemaps.dotlan.net/htdocs/system.php on line 121
The region maps are working fine. For example Enderailen will give me the error but 77-kdq wont. It doesnt appear to be related to the region/sec/moon minerals listed either.

Edited by: Wollari on 10/03/2010 09:40:07 It's fixed since 8am gmt :-)
This night I migrated all static images, etc to a couple cookieless domains (on the same server) and somhow this error slipped through my fingers. All in the name of performance :-) I'll see what else I can improve ... And yes there is always room for optimazation. Even it's technical or academical :-P
After that I'll start with the next feature pack which hasn't been defined.

Wollari, For the Caldari/Gallente FW map, there is a section of Caldari high sec (Lonetrek) shown on the map; the entire section is shown as oval, similar to FW systems or 'adjacent non FW systems'; however, some of the systems shown are not adjacent to FW systems. I'd propose (for continuity purposes) the systems Ahtila, Uchomida, Uhuhulanen, Rohamaa, Astoh & Tsuruma be shown as boxes versus ovals. This would be similar to how Yvangier > Charmerout, etc are shown. The issue is the area of Lonetree high sec is not in FW 'play' and it is thus a bit confusing to see so much high sec shown that has no bearing on FW. Another option would be to show the systems 'Ichoriya, Samanuni, Onnamon' as boxes and the other areas either removed or also as boxes, which probably follows your labeling convention more accurately.

Thanks for the tip, but atm it's not possible to change this behaviour without rewriting some parts of the mapping backend. In this case the FW map is something special. All systems that you see as oval are defined in a list to be on this map. The boxed systems aren't defined to be on that map. They're only listed cause they're adjacent to a system that is on this map. If i would remove the named highsec systems from that map, only the entry systems of that constellation would be shown, not the internal connections that are behind this first point.
Maybe i've to modify the database to give it a possibility to say show as "onmap" or "outofmap" icon. P.S. On regional maps it'S something different. All Systems that are not part of the region id(s) are considered outofregion system. But the FW map is not a region map, its just a group of systems.
I'll add it to my internal list of feature requests.

P.S. I added a couple more stats 3h/24h summary and reorganized it a bit. Still this all needs to be redone aswell.

It seems the 24 hour data overlays on the maps isn't being calculated correctly. I see some dead end lowsec systems where I see absolutely no one for hours have up to 1000 jumps. And rash prime has about 450,000 jumps calculated for the last 24 hours. The hourly data looks correct though. -----------------------

Can you give me an example please? Systemname and date/time prefered. I'm saving up all the numbers I get via API. (in the database + plain xml files for the archive). If there's any problem or miscalculation I can either crosscheck this with my database and/or tell you what's the cause of it.

have a look at all of tash murkon and deralik on the 27/3. In particular chamume in tash. It had over 1000 jumps that day supposidly, yet it would be lucky to get 200 in a normal week. But it's all of lowsec that's noticable. I think the 24 hour npc and player killed data is doing the same thing. Just on the 27th though. -----------------------

Also check the statistics for jumps in the molea pipe in khanid. It goes from a regular 200-400 to 3000-4500 on the 26/3 to 25000-31000 on the 27/3 then back to 4000-5300 on the 28/3. -----------------------

Sorry my fault. In the night from 27 to 28 we had the daylight saving time change. And my background daemon was going amok :-P The new version is already written against gmt only timer but the old/currently active one was running against local time which screwed it up a bit.

Yeah i know what you mean.
There's a "hidden" page which shows corporations sorted by membership count. I don't know anymore if it was included in the navigation at any point. But as I don't have all infos from every single corp it's only a small snapshot of corporation who are or have been in an alliance at some point.
