Ok let's clear that up, there are two reasons; 1) Evil pirates/carebears trying to be funny by contracting non-Veldspar contracts 2) A bug in the client not sorting Veldspar first!

I can see it now, a random eve player is walking down the street, he looks to his left to see a man walking past, he spots a tattoo on his arm, it reads, VELDSPAR. Soon realizing who it is, he immediately throws himself to his knees saying " i am not worthy, i am not worthy"

Thats awsome Chribba, don't listen to the haters. I can understand tattooing a hobbie(pc game,fishing,skiing) on your body but the real crazy ppl are the ppl that tatto a gf/bf or spouse on their body...thats just dumb.

If EVE was around 18 years ago when I got my ink work I might have done something EVE related as well but no regrets for me.
And for those that believe that a Tatoo will put off a women,
Well believe me a tatoo on the arm is the last thing they care about.
Besides you would be surprised how many of them have tatoo's themselves and in alot more interesting places
And many fun hours trying to get them to show me or letting me search for myself
So my advise is enjoy it and use it
