Guys,
Any ideas about this one i just had a crash where i undocked and my system locked up completely. only thing i could do was do a hard reset.(switch off power at the PSU not the on off button on the tower)
When i switch power back on and restart computer it asks if i want to use safe mode as expected after a crash i say no and system loads up fine no prob loading Xfire, trillian or TS. I start eve and it starts fine i log in and all my settings have reset as if i had never setup anything.
All colour selections and graphics options, all overview settings and window postions. (has been doing this for a while with window positions) All chat channels are also gone back to constellation local and corp defaults.
Now i have a copy of all my settings from when i setup my test server stuff. When i did this i copied all my settings over from the tQ folder to my TEST folder and all settings imported fine and were correct as ihad them on TQ. Now knowing this worked in this case i simply copied my settings from my TEST folders and pasted to TQ folder overwriting the current reset files.
So i start eve expecting all my settings to be back but nope they are still as they were after the reset none have been imported at all. So i go back and check files i copied over and these have been overwritten with the default values. Just to check i repeated the import from the backups i have in my TEST folder and the same thing happened again.
Interestingly enough it will safe new settings but if i try and import the settings after this it juts resets again. Now i know the settings i am importing are not at default values sa there were the same as my current settings last time i was on sisi. I cannot log onto sisi as i dont have the correct release for that at minute so i carnt verify this.
Anyone have any ideas about this or has experienced the same thing? I have suffered setting resets before and it simply no fun at all doing it all again there is always something u miss when trying to fix everytihing. Any help will be apprecitated.

Mate i've the same exact problem as you. Empyrean patch has fu**** up all my (overview, colours, etc) settings and each time i try to import my saved settings before this patch, it simply do not work at all.
So i tried to rebuild ingame thoses settings : i dock. And when i undock all that i've build few minutes ago is simply gone.
None at CCP is able to solve the problem.

Thanks for your reply but what u describe the prob u are having is the same as a lot of people i play with in game, me included. There is not alot you can do to fix this but wait for CCP to find the odd line of code that causes this ad fix it. There have been times in the past where there have been similar stuff that gradually sorts itsself out, well from what i have seen anyway.
Unfortunatly this is not the same issue i am experiencing, ALL my settings are gone colour choices chat channels sound and graphics settings. (i play with eve voice off and it has been activating itself when it seems to reset)
Windows moving around i can live with haveing to setup al my overviews settinsg for what ships it should show and the like is gonna tack me the best part of an hour at the very least not to mention sorting out chat channels (some with passwords long forgotten) and ensuring that no stupid stuff has set itself to on like auto target back and every effecet the game has to cause that much more lag in battle.

I have exactly the same problem - I was inactive for couple months, and when I launched EVE couple days ago, all my settings were gone.
I have backup of the dat files with all my settings which worked couple months ago (with Trinity), but even if I copy these into the settings folder and restart EVE, nothing changes - EVE cant load them, and reset everything.
Did anyone filed petition on this topic? Anyone got useful response?
